i was at cedar point last week and the area in question is one of the props people watch on the boat ride, it's the prop with the scientist trying to fly. it is not new you just had a clear day.

Considering it's not right on the water...

Plus, it's grown in size since the past few months. I didn't save any pictures of it because I didn't know it was anything special. Now they are having machinery in it too. It seems to be concrete trucks. Are they going to make a concrete plane or something?

Three possibilities for that clearing...

1) It's a new water tower - demand on the system has soared due to the $3 soda prices...

2) It's a new Web Cam tower - with 16 cameras pointing around the park, saving labor dollars by not requiring the cameras to be moved just because they are showing something the park doesn't want you to see (they simply turn off the offending camera and select a different one)...

3) New for 2003: Quicksand, the Ride

Just caught the webcam again this afternoon. You can clearly see the clearing has been enlarged and more footers are visible. It also looks like track has begun to be constructed. It's hard to tell, but CP is not fooling anyone.

I light at the clearing just went out at 11:18, very interesting!

I have finally seen the lights in the clearing near ID as Corey has been saying. They are there for a few minutes then disappear. Very interesting to say the least. CP is def. up to something very intriguing. I will have to take a closer look there next week!

If Cp Is planning something big for 2003...Cp could be just trying out some possible places to fit the watever the Ride in the perfect place...Maybe CP is taking some land samples and trying out the Land over there and if its good to support a roller coaster or ride...after all CP is pretty much built on a lake...Maybe some of the land maybe be soggy and not suitible for building on. if they would be already sure about everything...they would most likely already started some major clearing.

Uh, the last time I heard, the whole peninsula was very little topsoil, a few feet of sand and then bed rock. It doesn't matter where they are on the peninsula, they will hit bed rock.
