It does for me as well. I've ridden TC and SRF once in the past 10 years, as I rarely like getting soaked (and I'm not in the park much during the warmest months).
But I don't think this ride is marketed toward post-30's folk, but rather to teens and younger kids who happily ride water ride after water ride.
Plus, if we're to use the tried and true if-the-line-isn't-visible-on-the-webcam, the-ride-must-be-a-failure method to determine popularity, I'd say the ride is a rousing success, based on what I'm seeing now. ;)

Yeah, I don't put much stock in the whole webcam thing either. Ultimately (once the kinks are worked out), StR will be a huge success for the park, I'm certain. And if it cuts down lines on some of the other attractions that I personally want to ride, more power to 'em.

The line has been well over an hour wait consistently this week; I would say that is a pretty good indication.
If you watch, a lot of families are actually coming into the park with their swimwear on; there is a demographic going into the park specifically to ride the water rides over and over...and then ride SkyHawk to make my seat wet. :)

Again, I get that there are a lot of people here with some emotional attachment to the don't-get-you-soaked flumes of old, and I'm one of them.
Yea! What he said!

I agree with this, and as I've said earlier, this is why I feel it fails as a family ride. Yes, the whole family CAN ride it, but this is a ride I picture parents waving their kids off to ride while they hold their dry belongings(like SRF & TC).
Contrast this to King's Island's traditional Snoopy-themed log flume. You get a splash of water on the final drop, and most of the logs contained families, mixed with young kids, parents, and grandparents.
StR seems to have been swept away under a rug and forgotten about already?
Don't mean to bring this thread back from the dead, but how is this ride running lately? How have the waits been?
The day's I have been there it has been more down than up.
Let's Get Weird.
I've seen the opposite. When I've been there it's been running fine and the lines were 30 to 45 minutes.

Last week, it was a 20 min wait, but they were sending more empty boats than full. So it would have been a walk on or 5 min wait, if they were loading all the boats.
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Last weekend I waited almost an hour.
Of course, when I walked up, I waited at the single rider entrance. I think in the time I waited they successfully dispatched less than ten loaded boats, including the one I was on.

On Thursday, they opened just after 10, and we got right on. When we got off the boat, the line was still nonexistent, so we walked on again. After that, the line was pretty long, but they seemed to be sending every boat fully loaded.
Gotta realize by now that "fully loaded" actually means the full 8 seats. ;)

It was down Tuesday and Wednesday. Thursday morning, it was testing quite early in the morning, and opened shortly after 10. We got 2 rides on it at that point. From what I understand it has been up and down quite a bit since then. Looking at the webcam right now, the ride appears to be cycling with water dummies. From what I can tell, there are dummies in the back seat of the boat as well.
