Webcams still down as of 3pm. It figures the track would get there today after my last visit of the year on Sunday! That's definitely the track we saw laying out in the lot in Batavia,OH. **Would someone who is going to CP this last closing weekend try and get some construction and/or track pictures up close and email them to Walt? A good vantage point for you to see the site/footers/track storage might be from a ride on Giant Wheel or in the parking lot. I'm curious now where they're going to store the track, my guess is behind the white Halloweekends prop tent.
Photos from Giant Wheel are not allowed. Walt won't post them.

I don't get why that matters. It's the parks fault if they don't catch him taking pictures. If he gets the pictures, I'd like to see them as would a lot of other people. Besides, does the park really care? Nobody got hurt.
Enjoy the rest of your day at America's Rockin' Roller Coast! Ride On!
So we should promote the taking of illegal photos making it more likely that more people will take them and in turn, increasing the risk of an accident happening? Yeah, good idea. *rolls eyes*

The track is fabricated and stored at Clermont Steel Fabricators. It is private property. Though, you can almost always see track from the street.

I always thought cameras were allowed on Giant wheel. It's a tranquil ride after all. You'd think they'd allow them. I never knew that. I never took a camera out because I don't usually carry one to the park, but oh well. They allow cameras on the train, though, and paddlewheel when it was operating.
It doesn't matter if you agree with the rule or not. The rule exists.
We've never been asked to enforce the rule. It's a personal choice to respect the park's policy. But isn't that common sense? Why would a high profile fan site post photos that violate a well-known park rule? I don't think it would cause friction if we did, but that's not the point. As far as I'm concerned, it just doesn't look good.
As we've always done, content shared in posts that warrants a further look, whether it's trolling, links, spamming, obscenity, etc., will always be handled on a case-by-case basis. Nothing is black and white.
And as far as the policy itself is concerned, I'm actually of the opinion that there are several rides where photography should be permitted (or not specifically prohibited), including Giant Wheel. Perhaps that will happen someday.

Annie Zelms said that they would move the cameras soon during Shocktoberfest.

I agree, if they consider that an "action alley" then wrong move lol moving the lilve webcam to the front would be ideal if they want to get more viewers. If they do, then my days at work are not going to be as productive as I would expect. Any adjustment to the webcams would be an improvement, we couldn't really see that well from across the parking lot. Any other opinions? By the way...webcams still down as of this morning.
