Cedar Creek Mystic Mine Ride

Seems like Cedar Creek Mine Ride is getting a special treatment for HalloWeekends, apparently inspired by Mystic Timbers at KI: "Cedar Creek Mine Ride becomes Cedar Creek Mystic Mine Ride with special surprises in #whatsintheshed"

Thoughts on what this might be like?

Yep. Painful.

Chainsaws and axe murderers?

The family/kid friendly attractions sound like they'll be cute, and new additions seem like a step forward along that line.

Keep in mind, there is a section before the station that a train waiting that's mostly enclosed. I think two of the cars stick out of the building. So they are probably going to add some decorations and music to that part of the building.

Kind of cool... I like when they think outside of the box.

Hooray for three train operation and lots and lots of stacking!

I assumed they meant the maintenance shed at the beginning of the ride.

Have they run 3 trains in awhile? I have only seen 2, and they already stack.

Yes, that place too.

I wish the ride would get new trains like BIG THUNDER MOUNTAIN RAILROAD, that way it could accommodate guests who are 40". It would transform this mild coaster into a true family attraction.

PLEASE?

Yes, please! The lap bar makes this ride so uncomfortable. Adventure Express at Kings Island is superior. If they at least had trains like that, it wouldn't be a bad ride.

This! Three times this. I feel like the 48" requirement for all starter rides (Iron Dragon and Mine Ride especially) will end up putting CP into another family bind. Kids dont hit that height until 7-8, again creating a gap where parents may opt not to continue going to the park and bringing along their money pits, err I mean children.

The roller coaster capital needs more than just Woodstock Express and Jr. Gemini (Wilderness Run) as the coasters an under 8 year old can go on.

What is different about Adventure Express at KI? We rode Carolina Goldrusher at Carowinds and it had the same one-size-fits-nobody restraints but the seats were different and felt a bit more accommodating but was still very uncomfortable.

AE has individual lap bars fr each rider, like most other rides do.

I can usually tell if this ride is going to suck or not based on whether there are small children in the final queue rows next to me before boarding! I once got stapled and the mother of the tyke sitting in front of me was still trying to convince the ride ops that her precious little one wasn't secure enough and asked them to please tighten the lap bar a few more notches! Any updates to individualize the lap bars by row would be most welcome in my opinion.

Proud to have fathered a second generation coaster enthusiast destined to keep me young at heart and riding coasters with a willing partner into my golden years!

This is where I think it will be as well. Even just putting a couple fog machines in there would do the trick

Mine Ride's lap bar latches in only one position regardless of if there are big or small people on the ride

Last edited by Pete,

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

^ Actually CCMR back in the day when I was a kid, used to run 5 trains. There was rarely a line and I remember riding it over and over and over (as the only roller coaster without a real drop, it was my favorite. Drops terrified me... back then)

That was back when it had a separate unload platform too which helped with efficiency.

^Never.

I don't remember the Mine Ride having separate load and unload platforms.
