B&M brown dive track spotted

Down south for a company event today, staying with a few friends through the evening. We're considering going to Batavia to take a look. Plus with a 24-1000mm lens I should be able to get some pretty up close shots from the road. I'll try to have the pictures up early this week.

Ok, my sources say that it is indeed the Valravn track at B&M, a drop coaster, 228 feet tall, cedars coming down, HR building coming down and office moving off point. Also, road moving down to far side of cedars and marina gate moving slightly south.
The colors the pictures look to me like a primer, real colors may be sprayed after announcement.

Which lemon chill guy did you ask? The guy at the stand by MF is dead set on the 500 foot aquatrax dark ride!

The track primer hypothesis has a problem though. Primer absorbs moisture (it's porous by design so it can hold paint) and will end up forming surface rust after a few days, which would have to be sanded off and primed again before it can be painted.

That's true about the primer. When I look at the pictures, the paint appears dull. If it was the finish coat I think it world be a bit more glossy. A satin finish on a steel coaster would look non appealing to me. I am sure there are satin finish final coating, but not for a snazzy new coaster.

The pictures in page 1 of this thread look quite glossy to me.

Just in case anyone wanted to see what the 2 color variations might look like, I threw something together really quick to help with a visual.

I actually like the brown/purple color combination. It's different for Cedar Point and I don't think it's too close to Rougarou to blend.

That's actually a blue. I based it on the pictures of the supports we saw recently.

Oh, it looked purple on my screen. But either way I think it looks odd, in a good way.

I didn't know how I would feel about the blue supports but they do pop after I see them attached and it adds a lot more than the gray supports.

It would appear as though the dark blue supports do in fact go with the brown track seeing as a tag on one of the the supports has the same DM-H10 as the track does. There is also a picture of a piece for the bottom of a lift hill and it looks rather steep.

In the sunlight, the track looks much more of a dark/burnt orange color. The supports appear to be midnight blue. I think it will be a nice color scheme.

Kudos to InfiniteGs for looking up the lift angle for other B&M dive coasters. Looks like 223ish feet from the Register memo was accurate.

There is some nice sleuthing going on in that thread. Those pics are awesome. Color scheme does look good. Wonder how long to CP does their official announcement. Seems like that there is too much info out on the net to deny anything but a dive coaster is coming.

That's what makes me skeptical.

Also, I have noticed in some of those pictures the gray stripe on the bottom does not appear glossy while the orange/brown does. As if they have not painted the actual colors onto it. This doesn't make sense because they painted the neon stripe on Fury first, then the blue. Maybe it was just the angle of the photos.

Having now seen those colors in the direct sunlight, I agree that it's more of a burnt kind of orange.......and I'm starting to warm up to the color scheme we're seeing.

I have "sources" telling me that it's going to be an addition to TTD that makes it 520 and it's going to be renamed "Topper Thrill Dragster." The source may be my 12 year old brother but hey, one source is as good as another!

It's interesting that in the interview with Matt Ouimet that he mentioned a pumpkin patch for 2016. Because the color of the track looks an awful lot like the color of pumpkins.
