I can certainly tell you that the cables off of RipCord snaps birds in half.. and I have literally seen this happen.

Those Black birds last season were almost territorial... I probably got swooped at by three of them in one day alone.

When you're eye level with them to begin with they don't have to "swoop" very far. ;)

Then it's called a kamikaze.;)

I remember seeing that seagull with the nest on one of my trips. If I remember right, she was indeed being very protective......though it was her fault making a nest there.:)

And speaking of gulls, Cedar Point seems to have the largest gulls I've seen ANYWHERE! I've mistaken CP gulls for hawks and even eagels sometimes......sad on my part but true never the less.

The large gulls are Herring gulls and these are the ones that I have seen nesting on the top of many buildings, though I am sure there are other species. The smaller common gull is the Ring-billed gull.

Here is an interesting article by ODNR if you wish to learn more.

I'd hate to run into any bird while on a ride.

I have seen Wicked Twister have to be closed due to a gull getting under the queue. It was fun watching them get it out of there.
