lol! Those that have been around awhile know that LHP is my favorite way to enjoy the Point. In fact, We have reservations for the weekend of May 19th. A cabin this time. I can't wait!

I wanna stay at LHP, but I think our first trip will be just my girl and myself, so I don't know how intelligent a cabin stay would be. :(
Brandon
Vince982: Nope, I'm outta there on Sunday the 21st.
djDaemon: Trust me you'd love it! Just remember to bring some food for grilling and a electric skillet for frying and you'll be all set. A coffee maker and microwave are provided. The extra you pay for the cabin/cottage will make up for what you save in not eating "out". (Plus, the food will be better)

Don't forget charcoal and lighter fluid! But if you do, it's available in the camp store, which is a "walkable" distance away.

I think this time I'm brining my propane grill. Too many times noones felt like starting the charcoal up so we're just going to skip that and go straight to propane.

Yeah, I'd either bring my full-size propane grill, or my little-bitty tabletop propane grill, depending on how many are heading down with me and my girl.
Brandon
I've got a foldup fullsize that runs of the small cannisters. There is an available adapter to hook up a 20lb, but I get by with the small ones.

I think I know the grill of which you speak. Its one that you can fold up and toss in the car, right? I almost got one of those when I had my Jeep Liberty, but now with the Ram, I could take a whole kitchen (including the sink ;)), if I wanted to. :)
Brandon
Yeah, its actually a Jeep grill. The legs collapse in and it all goes in the car.

That's gotta come in handy quite a bit. You could probably even tailgate with it, provided the CP PoPo allow that. I would assume they do not, though.
Brandon
Oh, we've tailgated with it, but that was at the Big House before the GVSU/MTU football game a couple years ago.
I'm not sure of the point of tailgating at an amusement park though, there really isn't enough to cook enough food for it to qualify as true tailgating, unless someone doesn't bother to go to the park so they can keep the food going.

John
Hey, I went to MTU! I betcha we lost that game, eh?
Yeah, I know it wouldn't be true tailgating, but you could save some money by cooking on your grill.
Brandon
Seriously, if Dragster is running, get in line. I'm not crazy about night rides because I think the spotlights on the tower kind of blind you on the way down.

Yeah, you guys lost, but you did the coolest formation I have ever seen by a marching band.
Unfortunately, we were sitting "behind" the band so we couldn't hear very well what they were playing. However knowing their musical selections from several years of the GLI, I have a pretty good idea what it is.

LOL! That (if it indeed is a mug of beer) is the perfect representation of our school! Leave it to our pep band... they crack me up.
Brandon
Yes, it was a nice frosty mug being drank. That line in the middle actually started at the other end, and while playing (to the best of my knowledge) "In Heaven There is No Beer" they slowly walked to the bottom of the mug.
