I've often wondered why CP has never looked into a place to eat breakfast at the park. Donut Time is the only thing remotely close but why not a sit down restaurant where you can have breakfast or brunch?

The Silver Dollar (Game Day Grille now) used to have a hot breakfast for many years. The Swiss Chalet and the Cafeteria before that (Joe Cool Cafe now) also had hot breakfasts for many years. So they had what you were asking, don't know why it was discontinued.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

No one even thinks about going to CP and sitting down to enjoy the crappy dining choices at hand, yet alone eating breakfast as well as a lunch / dinner.

The park opens at 10 A.M, does it make sense to have much if any for breakfast?

CP attracts NASCAR kinda dads...so pizza, beer, and other fair favorites will be all they sell......ever

^ I keep wanting to go to Game Day Grille but for some reason I pass it because I'm heading to Blue Streak. I remember last year though, I stopped in there just to see how the Indians were doing and the food smelled great. So I'm going to have to spend my money in there some time this year.

The best "amusement park food":
1) Fresh corn dogs! They are so good when they come straight out of the friar, and honestly, I don't know where else I'd go to get a non-frozen corn dog. Maybe a fair or something, but I never really go to those so for me it's a very 'Cedar Point' thing.
2) The thick potato fries with vinegar
3) Elephant ears
4) A milkshake or malt at Coasters (very pricey but very thick and chocolate-y too)

For actual meals, we've found Game Day Grill to be pretty good, the food quality is definitely on par with or a little bit above what you would expect at any sports bar.
Donut Time has some seriously monstrous pastries, too. I've gone there and gotten one to split with a friend, and it made for a small meal.
I feel like the atmosphere in both places, and several other sit-down restaurants, is a bit separate from the rest of the park. It makes for a highly necessary breather if you're in the park all day.

I cannot wait to try the Chippery this year! I didn't even notice or hear about it last year, and I've always wanted to try ketchup chips. :)

Summer was made for a Cedar Point day~

I would say that my favorite snack on the midway are the cinnamon & sugar coated pretzels by the second sky ride station.

I had a question. Is there a restaurant at Cedar Point called Corral? I have a friend that will be working there this summer and just wanted to know where it was located?

Toward the end of this page. :)

The Happy Frier by gemini,Best fries in the park!!

There a similar stand near The Ocean Motion called the Hot Potato or something like that. When we need a fry fix and we are towards the front of the park we go there, towards the back we go to Happy Friar.

The Boathouse at the marina used to serve a great breakfast at a fair price. Now of course it's Famous Dave's.

Simple fix for that. Don't visit on Sundays ;)

The sad truth is that food + Cedar Point = overpriced and bad so I don't even think about what to eat I would just go for the most pleasant environment and head to the Breaker's Firidays or Breakwater Cafe to sit outside and eat ( if the weather is good) As far as Toft's goes drive over to their dairy on the west side of town and do it for real and, as long as you are in that area, stop by Firelands winery.

I'm probably going to tackle the infamous cheese on a stick and the fries from the friar this Saturday.

I generally pack a lunch (which I will this Saturday as well) but I'm sure as evening rolls around I'll be working up an appetite again.

How much is the Tofts at cedar point?

As dumb as it is, I have never been in there to see, but I'm sure a small cone cost $6, right?

The prices at the in-park Toft's are more or less what you'd expect for an amusement park, generally $3-5 (here's the menu back in 2008) depending on how many scoops you order. The twist comes with how small the scoops are, particularly when you compare that to how much one gets at the Toft's ice cream parlor in Sandusky.

It's part of that value perception you often hear about whenever food pricing comes up at the park. You can charge premium prices if you provide a premium product. The ice cream can cost five dollars just so long as it feels like you're getting a solid amount of product. In our experiences at the in-park Toft's you are carefully portioned small scoops from a tiny scooper, so you don't exactly feel the love you do at the Toft's in town. Even at the Disney parks you receive a large amount of ice cream for a fairly reasonable price ($3.69 for a double cone at Magic Kingdom).

By far.... the Lemon Chill stand! Great product, and all the "insider information" to boot!

Do they even have lemon chill anymore? I thought they switched to some other brand/ type of lemon ice.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Just an FYI, I really liked the cheese curds. I have to admit, when she pulled out the little pre packaged bag I thought it was a rip off, but they were really good. I think they were only like $3.50 too. My favorite snack thus far this year.

The pizza was def sub-par IMO.
