Best Food/Snack at the Park

In my personal opinion, Panda is the freshest fast food option at the park. All their veggies and meats are cooked and prepared right there at an almost nonstop pace.

I have to agree with you Adam on both posts. There is nothing like waiting for Millennium Force and smelling that orange chicken from the exit ramp. Every time I'm at Cedar Point, I always make a point to make that my lunch for the day. I mean yeah you'll pay almost $20 for a combo meal, but gosh darn it, it's worth it.

Now one place I need to try is Johnny Rockets sometime. In all my visits to Cedar Point, I have never gone to Johnny Rockets. I know what's wrong with me?

I personally believe that Chuck Wagon Pizza is the best place to get a quick meal. Located right by Maverick, pizza is great, and the restaurant theming is cool. Not easy on the wallet though.

The Friar everyone keeps referring to, that is techinically the "Happy Friar" listed on the website correct?...I'm drawing up some early battle plans ;)

I like chinese food so I'll have to give Panda Express a try too.

Surprising no one has tried the cheese on a stick...

I've had the cheese on a stick last October. It was ok. I love the Macho Nachos (near the swings) and Bay Harbor is awesome for dinner if you have the time (and the $$$).

topthrill, I got my walking taco at los gatos its in frontiertown next to the townhall museum. I think they are sold on the main midway too!

I dont know what you guys order when you go to panda express ive never spent more than $10 there I get the bowl its like $8.50 with one entree & a choice of rice or noodles they do have larger portions for more $ oh & you can add on an egg roll for $3 i think lol ( :

Cedar point = LOVE ♥

Midway Market for a sitdown meal. They have variety for everyone in the family and it's rather quick not to mention all you can eat. It's not the cheapest place, but for overall value I say this is the place. Joe Cool Cafe would be my second choice. Johnny Rockets is my least favorite. Their prices are high for what you get and I've had some bad service there.

As for snacks, the fries at Happy Friar, Hot Potato and Mr. Potato are good. Any of the mexican items at Los Gatos are good including the walking taco. Engine Co. 3 has a soft serve slushy parfait which is excellent. I do not remember the name of that. The potato chips at the Chippery are good too. Tofts of course. My son loves the BBQ turkey legs at the Gristmill.

Thanks Maverick. I'll have to get some while I'm there.

Same here. Fries from the Friar, Cheese on a Stick, Panda Express, Walking Taco, and Macho Nachos are on my hit list for early this year.

I would like to speak up and say that I myself love cheese on a stick. The only place I know where to get it is by the space spiral at the front of the park.

This has been an awesome thread. I've learned a bit more about the food options around the park that I didn't know.

I do really want to try cheese on a stick.

Does anyone know if they sell churros anywhere in the park??

They have cheese on a stick at the Gazebo next to Chaos not far from Space Spiral. The Happy Friar across from Gemini has it at the corn dog window. I think they have it Sagebrush Sues back in Frontiertown near the train station.

They had Churros during Halloweekends at some of the table stands they set up, but I can't remember if they have them all season.

They should put a ChurroMania in the park, YUM! (Or any good Churro place.)

No one has mentioned Chick-Fil-A?

The prices are great and the chicken even better. I had it for the first time late in October last year at the park. Having never tried a Chick-Fil-A before I was very surprised at how good it was. No, granted my group had been drinking throughout the day, so we chalked it up to being like bar food where anything is good after a few beers.

Over the winter a few of us drove the 75 miles to Toledo to get some Chick-Fil-A and make sure we were not kidding ourselves. Turned out to be just as good. I think it will be my new food place on days I don;t bring my own and it sure beats leaving the park in search of good prices.

Last year I did try the Top Chill Snow Cone right before Dragsters queue and man that thing is awful. I wouldn't recommend it. Just a bunch of ice with some colors that taste a lot worse than they look. You can't eat it real fast (because it's just ice) and it just turns into a big pool of nastiness after about 15 minutes.

Kyle, prior to your stop at TCSC, were you unfamiliar with what a SnoCone was?

Just saying, because it sounds like you're upset because you were given exactly what you should have expected. A big ball of ice with some crappy syrup poured on top.

Ha! Very true. I guess the main problem was it was so large (odd thing to complain about). It wasn't your typical 6-8 oz snow cone cup, it was a gigantic bowl. I carried it into the queue for Dragster and it was dripping after about 10 mins and all sticky, turning into a soup. I couldn't wait to get a few more aisles over and chuck it in the trash.

True. And sno-cones are definitely one of those things where small is better.

Of course, the cost of ice + 2 pumps of syrup I'm sure makes these even more profitable than pop, so offering a "Large" and the minor sum of $arm.leg is genius from that standpoint.

I didn't see anyone mention it, but as far as what you get for your money, the Johnsonville Brat cart over by Wildcat is my personal favorite. I forget how much it is exactly, but it's no more than six bucks, and for that you get a brat, chips and a drink. I don't think there's anywhere else in the park where you can get those three things for a lesser or equal amount of money.

As far as sit-down, I don't mind Game Day Grille. You can get slightly fancy burgers and fries for close to the same price as you might find it elsewhere off-point, and service is pretty quick if you sit at the bar. Of course, the beer prices are awful, but it's a fool's errand to think that will change anytime.

The path you tread is narrow, and the drop is sheer and very high.

I have to agree with Chick-Fil-A. It's probably my favorite places to eat inside the park. I have it every couple of weeks during the off season because we have a few of them down here around me. The price inside the park isn't all that bad either. I can't believe I forgot about it.
