If you were going to make a list of the top foods/snacks one just had to have, what would you put on it? What are the things at Cedar Point I need to make sure I try this year?
I've heard people recommend the cheese on a stick, but I haven't eaten a lot at CP, so I'm needing suggestions for my trips!
I know a few people here despise midway market, but it's pretty good food for a good value when the price is at $11 something.

I love Famous Dave's, I have on about 10 minutes from my house.
Is midway market a buffet? I was at a buffet last year, don't remember the name, at CP and it was decent, for some reason I think I remember paying closer to $20 though...
Yeah, it is a buffet. On weekdays I think it was, the buffet was around $11. Higher priced on the weekends

I've heard nothing but great things about Famous Dave's, but our experience last year was simply adequate. Perhaps I was expecting too much.
Otherwise, try the Subway outside the park. :)

Toft's Icecream is very good too. It is available in the blue barn (has the cow out front) on the main midway and in The Breakers. And if you pass it up while at the park their is a few locations in the Sandusky area.

Midway Market is a joke.
Dave's is hit or miss for me. I've had good and bad experiences there.
Favorite spot to hit up though is Gourmet Pretzel.

Grourmet Pretzel sounds awesome. Have any of you tried the famous cheese on a stick, fresh made chips, or those quirky little things they offer?
I loved their nachos last year, they had a spice to them, which I didn't expect but loved and hope is the normal recipe.
I've never gotten too fancy at the famous daves I go to, Wings with BBQ sauce, corn on the cob, and the corn bread, and I've always been happy. Granted, again, I'm only consuming a bunch of BBQ sauce and meat.
I tried some of the chips last year. I think I got Sea Salt and they were pretty bad. They were very salty and I ended up throwing almost the full bag away. It was very busy when I went so the employees might have been rushing. I did hear alot of people talking about how good the ketchup or maybe it was bbq chips were, so maybe I will try some this year.

Do they come with cheese or anything? Or just straight up?
I think there is an option of bacon/cheese.

At happy Friar(I think thats where I ate) I got some with vinegar, ketchup, and another one I forget. I didn't really like it. Maybe because I don't like fries. I love Famous Daves, haven't been to the one there, we always go to T.G.I. Fridays. But I usually try not to eat there much so I can have more time on the rides instead of in the bathroom. But I want to try the cheese on a stick, and the chips. By the way, did anyone mention Elephant ear? That is amazing.

I want to try the fresh made chips this year too ( : But last year I tried the walking taco & it was decent next time I will ask for light nacho cheese because it was a little much for me but it comes in a doritos chip bag layered with the nacho cheese, taco meat, lettuce, salsa, sour cream ( on the side) & peppers if you desire. I thought it was a good value at $4.50 I believe. I also like the kung pao chicken at panda express with the noodles. For a snack i like caramel apples the ones that are sliced and served in a bowl ! or the cotton candy! or fries from the friar are the best sometimes they are slightly more covered in salt then I like though.
Cedar point = LOVE ♥
Sounds like fries from the friar is where it's at. I'll be sure to hit that early (and hopefully often) this season.
I'll be the first to say Panda Express.:) Hands down my favorite in park food. Great food, always seems to have good service and even though it's expensive (no surprise) it'll definitely fill you up. Other than that, I agree with Famous Daves and pretty much anything outside the park.;)

Maverick, where do you get walking tacos at? I love those.

Famous Dave's - I hear a lot about the park's location being hit or miss though. There is a location not too far from me as well, It always wins best Famous Dave's in the chain, and I go there at least twice a month, so I am mainly basing my experiences on that Famous Dave's vs.the one at the park, but I have eaten at the park several times too and it's been consistent.
Midway Market is fun, but make sure it's when they have the burger station and cheaper pricing.
And my most favorite place to eat when at Cedar Point: The East of Chicago pizza buffet on the causeway :-D (not owned by Cedar Point)Taco pizza, PB & J Dessert pizza, along with dutch apple dessert pizza, bacon, veggie, and all of the other delicious pizza combos you can imagine! If your favorite pizza it not on the buffet, just ask and they will make it for ya! All for under $10 a person, whoohoo!
