Beds

Ok everybody is probably going to complain that this question is taking up space and is stupid and whatnot, but how comfortable are the beds that they provide? Are they more than just camp style beds?

They're bunkbeds, but the mattresses are definately thicker than camp beds. I had a good mattress, but the girl next door didn't. It's pretty much luck of the draw (at least is was for me).

Back to the Breakers this summer! :)

They're pee-proof plastic matresses, they aren't Sealy's but they're not hard on your back, bring a matress pad like I did and you'll be fine.
Mine was a prison style job..yuck. The sheets of course were the flat kind, no mattress pad and the mattress was the cloth kind. That mattress at the end of my summer should have been treated like toxic waste/ebola contaminated and incinerated!

I slept pretty good in my bed durring the season. Acctually I wish I could get the same bed back from the 1400 building.:) But after an 18 hour day on a coaster, any bed will do!

My bed seemed pretty small but that is probably because there was always someone else in it. ;-)
They are small..

They are twin beds.. and honestly.. not all that much room for 2 people...

.. or 3 ;)

For 3,or "more" people;), it's good to put two beds together:)

Like was said above they are twins but if ya wanna be cozy you can do 2. Unless you like 7ft tall like Rob then you don't fit period. And if you are in one of the Apts like at Bayside, the sofa sleeps real well too. Just make sure you know who and what was done on it last.

Awesome!! I will be in Bayside at first, since I start April 1st and it's my only option. I sleep on a couch at home, even though a bed is available to me. I will have to call dibs on the couch when I get there.

Yes! Please keep in consideration that you do share that room with other people and they don't want to clean up after you!

I actually know of a few key positions that get their own dorm-style room at the Breakers. Those rooms have double beds and, in some cases, air conditioning. What luxury!

Of course, you have to have a job like Night Auditor which means you work from midnight to 8:00 am. Sort of kills the nightlife scene!

I wont need to fold it back since I sleep in it folded up. But, yes, I will put my sheets and whatnot away in the morning.

That's IF your room mates don't mind someone sleeping in the living room. You may end up with people who don't do alot of sleeping and spend alot of time there.

My room last year, almost 24 hours a day.. someone was in the living room because of our various shifts.

A question about the gold dorm's bunkbeds. I was wondering if there is any possible way to detach the beds so that my roommate and I can both be on the ground. Of course having a way to put them back together. Thanks!

What, they dont let you "party" before you work, heck a 6 pack of Coors will indeed enhance your speed and accuracy...NOT.

Yes, there is Sarah but your surpose to get housing permission before you do it because they'll charge you with damage surposably..
