Meh... it took 45 minutes, with a handstamp (Freeway(?)), front row at the end of June last year around 5. That was plenty long enough, considering I was a single rider and there were a bunch of rowdy preteens around me. Although once in the station, the line seemed to move quicker.
I would put a limit at an hour tops. It's a great ride to get the blood pumping although it doesn't do the same thing to me as Raptor does, different kind of experiance methinks. Still great, though.

I waited all day for 12 hours once. There was a group of about 30 of us. We played monopoly and euchre the entire time. I think we about used the entire mountain dew supply of the nearby pretzel stand since the refills in the dragster souvenier cups were free then. In the end we never got to ride, but I got some awesome memories.
TTD rides: 32
Rollbacks: still dreaming
I never understood why someone would wait so long with no sign of the ride opening. The only reason I waited 2 1/2 hours in May 2003 was because the line was getting longer by the second and the ride was testing consitently.

I still can't belive after all this time people will still debate on how long to wait. I used the resort's early entrance and got 2 rides in before the GP came like a herd of cattle, and the rest of the day it was like 2+ hours. Craziness!!! All the other rides were sorta walk on and I will take Magnumm any day over TTD. To waste the kinda money it cost to get there and have a good time, don't waste it all in line for 1 ride!!!!
Don't hate me for hating you
The longest I ever waited was 4 hours.... and that was on Media Day.
