Although it wasn't actually "added to", I think I remember hearing Iron Dragon was slightly modified - could someone please correct me if I'm wrong?
In that case they basically eliminated the inversions (which were considered by many to be too rough) and rerouted it to add bunny hops and high speed turns.
I would be very surprised if any significant changes are ever made to #16 and I doubt they would ever be needed. If you want inversions ride Mantis or Raptor or Corkscrew. If you want a long speed circuit ride Maggie or MF.

2002 Totals: | MF:90 | WT:29 | Maggie:132 |Gemini:67 | DT:36 | Raptor: 77 | Beaver net 4.0!

What is most anticipated event of 2003? the debut of # 16, the release of Metallica's new album, the release of Terminator 3, or the release of Matrix:Reloaded...tough call.
Then again, once I see it in person, 4 hours will do just fine as long as there are refreshments along the way to the station :)
What was Millennium Force's wait in May 2000? I would only guess Top Thrill Dragster will be around the same. I'm planning a trip on last week in May, what will the wait be comparing to MF's around that time.

I think this is funny that people said they would wait up to 4 hours for Top Thrill Dragster! Just to bring this back up lol. I don't know why. Maybe it would be cool to talk about something from early 2003.
Since I visited CP so much in its opening season, and each time it was closed, when I came and it was open I was determined to wait as long as it would take. The wait wasn't too bad, only about 4 hours, which I thought was worth it. Now, I might only wait up to three.
Thrills Around the Corner!
First time I rode MF I waited 45 min. The second time I waited 90 min. I was willing to wait as long as it took because I had a taste of what a thrill it was!
Now I will wait maybe 1 hour, but no longer. I go enough times to catch it at a shorter line.
But once in 2003 my son and I started waiting at 7pm. We were in the middle of the last queue section(the one before the ramp). It broke down once or twice and we waited. Many people walked out. Then while on the ramp there was a threat of lightning, so they shut it down. The sky was dark and we couldnt tell if a storm was coming or not. I wanted to leave thinking it was hopeless, but my 19 year old son said no. About 5 minutes later the rides ops were told to get into position! Everyone cheered! Mind you so many people left the line since it broke down and during the lightning that we were actually NEXT for the ride. It was about 10:30pm. We went on it 3 times in a row! It was a fantastic night!
I came up to the park in May from Nashville with my nine year old daughter. The Top Thrill Dragster was not operating that day and we were quite disappointed. Last Friday we came up again and waited 1.5 hours for the ride. It was worth the nine hour trip and the gas prices and the heat. THE MOST INCREDIBLE THRILL RIDE EVER! The rest of the day we rode everything else we wanted with very short lines. Cedar Point has no rivals or competition when it comes to Thrill Rides and Roller Coasters.

Well there's no arguing with that Eddie. :)
While I'm at it I'll just say that I once waited 4 hours for Dragster. But now, everytime I go, the wait is no longer than an hour long.
So YES I am willing to wait!!

I think that any wait over 1 to 1 1/2 hours is retarded. I don't think that any ride on the planey (with the exception of being in a NASA shuttle) is worth 3+ 4+ hours. I always go to CP in the middle of may and i have never waited any longer than 45 minutes of any ride when i go.
Tim
The longest I'll wait for Dragster is around an hour. Usually whenever I go there, the wait time is about that in the middle of the day. And for Millennium Force, it would have to be 0-15 minutes. If I know I can get right on in the morning 2 or 3 times in a row, then I dont feel like waiting longer during the day. But if it was at night, then maybe I would wait longer.. same for TTD. Now if I had a season pass, the wait times wouldn't matter, so thats why.

No longer than a half hour.
I feel sorry for people who don't drink. When they wake up in the morning, that's as good as they're going to feel all day.
