Are you willing to wait?

You guys aren't as lucky as me. I seem to come at the right time for riding a coaster. The longest I waited was one hour for the Raptor in the morning. Also one hour for X-Flight at SFWoA. I amazingly waited only 25 minutes for Millennium Force!!! And that was after lunch time. That ride on MF was the best one ever because I got stuck on it at the very top! It was only five minutes, but each minute was breathtaking.

But I think I will wait the longest in my life for #16.

jeez what day did you go to get those short lines? the only day i know of in the summer with lines that short are july 4th.

It was a Friday in May. But I told you I rode it after lunch. So I'm guessing, people don't ride intense rides like MF after eating. They don't want to get sick. My brother got sick once after eating a sub, then riding S:UE. But I'm not like him. I don't get sick easy.

So ride #16...after lunch. Then puke all over yourself!

I will wait as long as it takes.

As Superman: Ultimate Escape said. I guess I was luckier than a lot of people as well. Last time I went to CP, the year they opened MF. We went for 2 day and I got to ride MF 4 times. We waited about 1 1/2 hours each time. Each day, we were part of the running of the bulls first thing in the morning.

Opening day, I will wait as long as it takes. Beeing that I'm going to be getting there rather early and waiting outside of the gate, then running to the ride, my wait shouldn't be too bad.

JCC ERT on opening day, oh yah! I hope to get lucky like I did with WT and have a front and back seat ride before the public gets in.

I doubt you'll be that lucky, Ralph. People just didn't seem as interested in WT. I never waited more than 15 minutes for WT all season--but then I always hit CP on weekdays during high summer to avoid the largest crowds.

The nice thing is being able to go back whenever I want to, so if lines are nuts (like they were for MF in 2000, I can wait and ride later in the season after the "newness" wears off.

As OldCPer said, hopefully the Joe Cool Club ERT will include #16 but if not then I will use my front of the line pass that was given out at the ACE Christmas Party at the Radisson. But if I don't do either of those I would wait however long it takes me to get on it for at least my first ride.

Who was the first person to look at a cow and think, "I think I'll squeeze these dangly things here and drink whatever comes out?"

They will never let you use that pass thing on the new rides. Last year I got one because of some problems with a ride, and could not use it on the new ride of that year WT.

Well this year, with the park being open during the week in May, it should be fairly quite I would have thought, if you want to get on repeat rides I would say this is your best chance
I will wait as long as it takes.

One question though, will CP try ride passes for #16 as soon as it opens or will they wait a while? I remember that millenium force was no passes and no choice of seating for quite some time. Anyway, for the first few times I'll wait forever if needed!

I'm so hooked on coasters that I watch ride POV's for an hour a day until may!

Like most people here have said: As long as it takes.
Unless the line has entertainment(music or something), I will not wait more than 2 hours. The longest I've ever waited was 2hrs 45mins for MF. Great ride, but I'll never wait that long again.

I'll wait however long I have to but do you think that any of the general public will be frightened by this? I heard that alot of them last year were afraid of Wicked Twister because of the launch, and this will be much faster, and taller than Wicked Twister.

I believe that is a primary reason CP decided not to add any elements after the tophat: being launched like a jet off an aircraft carrier and flying up 400+ feet and spiraling back down will be so shocking to many people that any extra elements afterward would go virtually unnoticed. CP wants to see if enough people will ride a coaster this intense before spending more money on a more complex layout. If enough people complain that the ride is too short, there's nothing preventing CP from adding to it in the future (it's been done before).

I saw a drawing of 16 before, what someone thought it would look like, and it had a bunch of hills and stuff after the tophat. If it had that much, I would move to CP and live on that thing!!!!!

I really dont think there will too long of a wait for # 16... 2 Loading stations...30 second ride.... should make for short wait times. But I'll wait for no more than 1 hour

------------------
WOOF !

If the capacity of the trains themselves is smaller, then the waits won't be any shorter...

What is most anticipated event of 2003? the debut of # 16, the release of Metallica's new album, the release of Terminator 3, or the release of Matrix:Reloaded...tough call.

I'll gladly wait as long as it takes for my first ride on 5/4. With the combination of not riding a coaster for half a year and just the raw intensity of this thing, it'll be a hell of a ride, no matter how long it is. And about adding on to the ride, what ride was this Kevin, I've never heard about it?

Enjoy your ride on the Big Bad Bug
