Okay, im not scared of any coasters or rides at all...except for magnum. It seems like everytime i ride it ..some thing goes wrong. Ive been stuck on it 3 times already, rained out, and my seatbelt came undone(after the first drop..not before). has anyone else had this problem or any problems with any rides or coasters at cp?
No. I've ridden Magnum probably at least 500 times and never felt unsafe or had my seatbelt come undone. Those lapbars are solid though. The seatbelt is a secondary restraint. That's why they have 2 restraints. :)
I know, i just felt very uncomfortable after this happened. I'm going to ride it next time i go (i go almost every day). It seemed odd, but i thought maybe the latch thing that unhooks it got caught on my belt as the bar was pressing the seatbelt against me or something. And maybe you can answer this...why do they seem to always have a section of seats 'roped off'?
THey only have a section roped off if there has been a problem with thre retsraint.

I had my belt come unbuckled on Blue Steak's lift hill once. Scared the hell out of me. I got it rebuckled before the first drop and reported it to the Ride Op when I got off. I have no idea what caused it.

I’ve had this happen probably once on Blue streak, Mean Streak, and Shivering Timbers. Since they are al CF wood with the airline style belts I’m thinking the problems is probably there. My guess is since the female “flip” end is so short and close to either the side of the seat or the lap bar arm, any contact or rubbing might cause them to pop open. The problem is probably bigger for people with larger thighs, because on me (at least), the flip attachment pretty much rides in between my thigh, the side of the seat, and the lap bar arm to the point I can’t even see it.
This is why I’m not sure whose bright idea was it to put this style belt clip on coasters. The car style buckle works so much better for a variety of reasons.

The only problem I've ever had was on Iron Dragon. My restraint slipped and loosened up one notch during the ride. I pressed it back down and 30 seconds or so later, it did it again. Everyone pretty much knows that you're probably not going anywhere on Iron Dragon, it's so tame, but I still reported it to the ride op. About an hour or so later, I saw that it was shut down.
Of aal the rides I've had on Magnum (which is a lot), seatbelt coming undone is a rare thing to me. Ocassionally a lapbar may pop up. But I don't worry about too much. Like Ben said, there are 2 restraints for a reason. The odds of both failing at the same time are very high.
yea, my restraint loosens alot of iron dragon, but i just push it back down.
Last time i went on Raptor my entire shoulder harness came undone on the bottom of the hill. Pushed it back down and I was fine.
i kinda wish ttd had otsr like another famous tall coaster which is almost an exact replica of ttd except the fact that its lime green and taller...
the OTSR on kingda ka are ok. they're actually quite comfortable, but unnecessary. i like the lap bar only on TTD better. :)
okay :) but whats better about the lap bar compared to otsr?
