Any predictions on the new Wing-Coasters name?

Well I suppose most of the GP equates shoulder harness with safety. It's amazing some of the comments you hear when loading into a coaster with a lap bar restraint.

Exactly. Dragster was the last big Intamin coaster built with t-bars. My take on why Kingda Ka and I-305 are the only monster Intamins with OTSR is simply added safety. But the new restraints on Skyrush definitely have potential.

^The Skyrush restraints are very uncomfortable though. But I guess in a way the restraints on Skyrush remind me of Mavericks, except they don't have a shoulder harness attached.

My wife won't go on Millenium because of the lap bars.

I rode skyrush those restraints hurt. Made me hate the ride.

I'm a big guy, 6'4" 275, and Wild Eagle's restraint system is the most comfortable OTSR I've ever used. Also would like to point out as far as wing coasters go, dont knock it, till you rock it!

If the lap bar fails, that's why you have a seatbelt on as well!

I think the problem with Skyrush is the fact that it's such an intense coaster. I strongly believe that those restraints would work well on other (less intense) rides.

From what I heard at Coaster mania, Hershey Park is already replacing the restraints with softer leg pads.

While we are on the topic of restraints, I wish more rides used the restraints found on Diamondback at KI. Those are the best, ever.

Those are the most comfortable restraints ever. The only problem with them is that I think they're only on their Hyper Coasters and Cedar Point has a Hyper :/

Leviathan isn't a hyper roller coaster and it utilizes the same B&M trains/harnesses as any other B&M hyper uses.

Im not sure what Arrowdynamics was thinking when they designed the lapbar for Magnum. Focusing all the pressure in such a confined space does not work. That is why the B&M Hyper restraints are so comfortable because they distribute the pressure over all of your thighs.

There's actually a conflict going on somewhere else over whether it's a giga or hyper coaster. It's technically a Hyper coaster because B&M doesn't use the term Giga.

I agree with you on that. If only they could somehow stiffen the resistance on Skyrush's bars so they don't keep coming down on you. I loved the power and speed of Skyrush but hated the restraint. As for Wild Eagle, at 5' 6" the straps dug perfectly into my shoulder blades and the discomfort was disappointing. I normally associate B&M with comfort and have never had head banging on their rides even with the old restraints, that's why I said I'd prefer them. As with most lap bars / shoulder harnesses, size probably makes all the differance.

That's totally agreeable. I'm only 5'10 but found the wing rider restraints to be fine, so I guess I was lucky. I had SOME rubbing from the restraints but it was barely enough to phase my perception of the ride as a whole.

I had no problems with Wild Eagle's restraints, and I'm 6 foot 3. I didn't really think the ride itself was any different than a floorless. I wouldn't say it was a spectacular ride, but it fills in the line up at DollyWood well. Cedar Point's coaster line up is already filled in my opinion.

Screamscape is reporting GateKeeper may be the name. Yikes, I think Flight Deck is even better than GateKeeper. That's 10 letters though and the coaster will be 9.

Is has never been stated that the name is 9 letters. Everyone is just making something out of nothing.

I wouldn't look too much into Screamscape. I could have sent some bogus name to Screamscape, made up a source and the name would have most likely appeared on the website. Screamscape is not an accurate source. Do you remember the GCI from Great America Cedar Point was supposed to get in 2010? Disaster Transport 2.0? The new boardwalk with the classic wooden coaster (I think that one came from somebody on here ;) )? The website used to be okay, but now really old news is reported and the rumors are just bizarre.
