Had to bring this thread up again because I really believe that the cars are gonna be removed next season.
Ride-on
I knew i wouldnt be the only one. There making a coaster from the Antique Cars and through MF island.
Bring back Boblo!
I don't think Antique Cars will be removed, and I hope they won't be removed. Frontier Town has had quite a bit of construction in the last year from Skyhawk to WWL's demolition (which certainly took out a ton of trees). I hope CP gives Frontier Town some time to regrow in terms of vegetation before launching into any new projects. The removal of AC in my opinion would devestate the area.

jkoaster,
Did you mean they were going to make the new coaster go through the antique cars or is it how you worded it meaning they're going to make the antique cars into a roller coaster?

Ride on, MrScott!
This has pretty much nothing to do with anything, but Busch Gardens Europe just took out their antique car ride, for a new coaster for 2007. Perhaps it's a growing trend.

Just an interesting little tidbit.
Only time will tell. I think that the cedar creek mine ride is next on the list. AC will only be reformed.
I wouldn't think so. CCMR is unique enough in its appeal to families that it shouldn't be placed on the endangered list just yet.
DT, on the other hand...

Just get rid of the anique cars in the back because they have two already, and that woud be a perfect spot for something to be built there and... for loopy why are there just markings around the Anique cars and not anywhere els is this the only spot in the whole area that the gas lines run through(dought it)
These are not the only "survey markings".

Not to beat a dead horse on the Pirate Ride thing, but the ride actually had an interesting history. It was built for Freedomland USA, a short lived park in New York. It was highly themed and intended to be the east-coast Disneyland. Cedar Point's late Earthquake ride also came from that park. Both rides were removed at CP due to vandalism and poor maintence. Too bad to see classics like these go. I'm betting the fate and problems with these rides (as well as general lack of theme for CP) are just "historical hints" as to why Project 2007 will not be greatly themed

I couldn't agree with this more. New roller coasters are great, but a big part of the experience at Cedar Point is the atmosphere. There is no way they could keep any charm in the park if any section looks like a construction zone. It takes many years for newly planted trees to fill in enough for any area of the park to feel pleasant in my opinion. If Cedar Point focuses on Frontier Town for construction any more in the next few years, it will start looking like a parking lot.
I think it's also important that the park has a variety of non-coaster rides. Justifying the removal of one car ride because others are in the park is like justifying the removal of Magnum because Millennium Force was built. When I visit a park, I want more than just roller coasters. While Cedar Point is still better than the majority of parks in variety, I think they are still at a loss when it comes to White Water Landing. I think the least they could do is build some kind of replacement before removing another family ride in exchange for a mega-thriller that only a portion of the family will ride. In the past, I'd visit the park with my parents and they'd ride the mild rides while I was on the roller coasters. Without White Water Landing or the Swan Boats, Frontier Town is already becoming unbalanced in appeal. *** Edited 8/24/2006 1:08:29 AM UTC by TTDragster105***
