^ I don't work for a natural gas company so i'm not sure how they run their lines, but i'm pretty sure that if on the other side of the construction area there's a pretty large lake there isn't going to be much need for natural gas. Soooo why would there be very many gas pipes running towards that area to begin with?
I'm guessing there's one line that used to feed that route and that's the direction it originates from. If I were designing a cable plant and it originated from the front of the park i most likely wouldn't run all my cable lines to the back before making a round trip to feed the front....but that's just me.

When they built raptor didn't they reduce the size of cadilac cars and it's basically underneath raptor's cover-roll.
Turnpike Cars was about cut in half, I believe. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Arguing with a coaster enthusiast is like wrestling with a pig in mud. After a while, you realize the pig enjoys it.
I guess some people don't realize or understand how badly children want to drive and these rides give them that chance. Our grandson loves anything with a steering wheel. So why would they want to take out a ride that has hig rider ship when there are coasters that don't have high rider ship. So why not take out one of those (sarcasm)?

I really hope they don't remove them. That area of the park is about my favorite (part of Frontier Trail high on the list too). Those are definitely the best of the car rides and they fit in better than the other two. I remember how they used to give candy out there during Halloweekends (probably too crowded to do that now unforutnately).
It would be a good idea too move them in the middle of Mean Streak. They have plenty of room in that grassy area.

I really like the area of where Antique cars is, and I'd hate to see them go, because Antique Cars makes that part of Frontiertown Beautiful. When I'm back there now I like to hit Antique cars after riding Skyhawk or Cedar Creek Mine Ride.
tas...you didn't just suggest putting the antique cars in the middle of Mean Streak, did you?
Why not just put them in the middle of the parking lot?

I really don't think there would be enough room in the middle of MS for the Antique Cars. The ride itself would be a little crampt (if it would fit at all) and then squeezing the que line for that and the one for MS? I'm not sure that would work out..... Also, it might be a little tricky fitting all of the construction equipment inside the area for bulding them in the middle.

Ok, I am new to pointbuzz and I just wanted to say something. How would you possibly fit the antique cars in the middle of Mean Streak? Not to be rude or anything but aren't there electrical bulidings in the center? Oh, and I think it would maybe fit, but that would be one mighty small ride.
There's a ride maintenance warehouse there now. Antiques in the middle of Mean Streak is a stupid idea.

Pirates of the Caribean was great! I loved that ride when I first went to Cedar point when I was young.

How many people would even know, or see, something inside of Mean Streak? They would see a giant wooden coaster, a path going into it, and assume it's the line and turn away.
What we have to remember when we talk about ripping out a ride is that even though we may not ride, tons of the other public might. In this case, kids.
Ok so I guess I was alittle wrong in saying to place the Antique cars by MS. I do thin k that they are gonna be removed next year. There are more markings around that area. I guess August just cant get here soon enough.

Pirates of the Carribbean and the Pirate Ride should not be confused.

Just to let you guys know, in the summer of 2002, I saw stakes with pink flags below Iron Dragon's helix just prior to its second lift hill. If I'm not mistaken, there is coaster track at that precise location now...

Sorry, you're 100% correct. Pirate Ride was great! I loved that ride when I was young ;)

To me, Pirate Ride provided an experience that is hard to find at CP these days. It was a semi-scary, fun dark ride that had a lot of personality. That's definitely something that could be a welcome addition to the park, perhaps in FT - only with a western theme, instead of pirates obviously.
