I take communication "so serious", regardless of the forum (online, on the phone, face to face...). You don't. That's fine.

...yet would rather point out my grammar that they can still read...

Sure. We can still read it. It's just that it's a bit annoying that you expect others to do your work for you, deciphering what you're written.

If I may be honest? You don't think writing using proper grammar and punctuation is important, yet claim that you are well-spoken in person. I can't help but wonder: if you're not willing to make the minimal effort to communicate clearly when you have to physically type each word out, I find it hard to believe you do so when you open your mouth and let the words tumble out.

So before HalloWeekends starts up? That's not bad at all. At least within the next three weeks or so, we'll have a firm rescheduled date for the big reveal.

Yes, great news. I'm sure Cedar Point will announce when the announcement date is soon!

*calmly waits for someone to tell me i must be wrong because i didn't put the comma in "i'm"*

(Fixed that for you)

Hmm.. We'll know when the actual announcement will occur before Halloweekends, so it sounds like during the event sometime is when said announcement will occur. It still could be Dec 25 but I strongly feel that it was the first far-off date they could come up with. After all, it's set to midnight, right? If so, I highly doubt they're going to make an off-season announcement at midnight. Such little fanfare!

When did i say grammar isn't important?

Its not important in this situation and atmosphere

So... when im trying to be speedy i personally don't care, not because grammar doesen't matter.. because its the internet! Not anything that is going to give me a job or lower my letter grade! Live a little is what im saying. Who cares what grammar looks like in a place like this when you can still understand my arguement, You see? The dude could understand me fine, he just didn't know how to respond to my point so he pointed out my comma usage and such to look smart and appear to win the arguement.

They're apostrophes...

im>>>I'm

apostrophes

Most of the news is controlled by the illuminati anyways so, that is its own problem.

If you took a clam, fed it to a blue whale, took the now digested clam, and then shot those remains with a particle accelerator, that clam would be more intelligent than the statement you just made.

Anyway, is the announcement really going to take place in December? That is ridiculous.

Noted, my apologies for mixing the words by accident.

You accidentally "mixed" the terms several times? That's not an accident. That's willful ignorance.

Brandon

Why are you arguing about apostrophes and grammar?

I'm amuesd [sic] that you could repeatedly misspell words like amusement (amuesment) and call it an accident.

So....... James A. Young died near the" projected" entrance of the new ride. Would Cedar Point place a memorial plaque that was approved by his family near the place he died? Or should they let us, as we often do, let time sweep him into the past?

While I understand the sentiments that a monument provides, I feel like it would be insensitive to leave a permanent reminder of a tragic death for future guests to see.

Do guests really need a reminder every time they pass by Raptor that a guest trespassed and, as a result, was fatally struck by a train? What would that do to the atmosphere? Surely it would turn a fun one upside down.

I don't know what's worse: accidently putting "comma" instead of "apostrophe" a couple of times due to fast typing, or believing absolutely no one in the world disagrees with your point of views and beliefs.

Dj, which one do you think has a more important role in life?

Its [sic] not important in this situation and atmosphere

Per the Spelling, grammar and chat shorthand, pinned atop the General forum....

While this is not English class, it is extremely difficult to read posts that are full of shorthand, misspelled words, and sentences that run together.

It's easy to run your post through a spell checker...

Use periods to end sentences and capitalize the first letter of the first word in the next sentence.

...we're not looking for perfect grammar. But by keeping these thoughts in mind, you will help continue to make this a great place for Cedar Point discussion.

Yes. it is important in this situation and atmosphere.

All these big foot sightings and alien abductions are a problem too.

Does anyone else think it amusing that one keystroke to insert an apostrophe is a burden too great to bear, but 70-odd keystrokes to accomplish that is easy-peasy?

Does somebody here really think a memorial or monument should be placed for this guy? Are you serious? You DO realize that people die every day, and have even died at CP in the past. You want memorials for billions of people?

I vote that we replace the "Lemon Chill Guy" when we hear rumors with the "Illuminati".

"I heard the Illuminati say that Magnum really is sinking and is going to be torn down and Magnum II will be built by B&M on a huge long concrete pad eliminating the beach all together!"
