I GOT A REALLY NICE TAN TODAY!!!
Oh yeah, and I think we rode the Gemini 100 times too. Congrats everyone who made it! I'm not gonna list it here for fear of leaving someone out and feeling like a complete idiot, but I'll list my various riding partners for the day!
Started out front seat first train of the day with none other than Magnum Dan himself. CP Irvine and I then did many laps together and had a great time, along with Red Garter Rob and MDOmnis, Hooper, and others along for the ride. We split somehow in the 40's or so, and I took the majority of the remainder of my rides with my FAVORITE riding partner of the day, Raptor Jo's daughter Sam! Jo, your daughter is a really great kid, and I'm glad I got the pleasure of riding with her today. We're both very talkative, but we did manage ONE silent ride. It was very hard though. 100th ride was again with Dan, last seat of the last train of the night. Sorta kewl.
Anyway, it was really fun, GTTPers, and can't wait for you guys to do the Mine Ride 100! :o)

Nat-
I actually pitched that idea to CP Irvine last Wednesday! Maybe we'll give it a try :) Think we could do *more* than 100 on Mine Ride?

"Did I mention that..."
I only hurt from my turnstile injury. OUCH!
(Those who did not know me, this is the large quiet man in the Gray MF shirt)
My strategy was to Ride Red side single, dash of the platform and ummm, "jog" to get back in line. I did not stop for anything except people puking and slow people in line who think walking under Gemini to get on is just so great. When the stoppage in play occurred, that's when I got drinks, but no food. The only thing I ate all day was a French fry from Dan (thanks :) )
Not to sound full of it, but Dan and I were ahead of the pace most of the time. One funny part when was Dan was one lap behind me and snuck in on the red train, while I waited for the next blue. Of course someone puked so they stopped him on the lift why they cleaned up so I passed him :). I took most of my laps either with him, with CPointer, or by myself single. Here is the play by play
laps (approximation)
1-5 Red Side open with a 3 train operation. Wait not bad, but not good.
5-25 Both sides 3 trains. First time I got in a groove.
25-Someone got sick which caused a set on red, later blue went down.
25-70- This is when I went into a zone and just went on a tear. Got my 50th by a little after 4pm, so I was actually a bit off the pace for 100. When I heard that some were as much as 5, 7, and 10 behind Dan and I, I seriously doubted they could get 100. I even doubted if I could get 100
.
60- Another puke'r which caused a stoppage on red :(. If you cant handle Gemini for one lap, go ride the smaller Gemini (Mine Ride ;) )
70ish- They Transfer off a set which took 10 minutes.
75ish, is when I suffered my turnstile Injury. My right leg got jammed becuase the turnstile was still swinging when it went in. So it was jammed between the knob and the side, and I have big legs. Had to hobble a little for the next few lap, and it still hurts!
70-98. Vintage Gemini-This is were everyone I think had awesome times in the last few hours. No wait, and most of the time we caught the next train loading. Shivering Tim, our commentator with the palm pilot (probably had a telestrator in that pouch too) said that at one time Dan and I had 5 minute laps! (thanks to Scott by the way ).
99-done at about 9:15, first time I breathed all day.
100-Everyone took their 100th for the last ride of the night. I sat in 1-3, which I think if you ride there makes Gemini a very great ride! Plenty room with the bar and I was ejected and then floated over every hill.
Notes-
I held up well I think, I felt better after 100 than on 30! I think everyone else did feel better later.
Trim Brake's are good when doing this sort of thing.
LuvRaptor- Sam is indeed Cool. I only took a few laps with her, but she was very energetic and funny. Especially during the transfer of trains when she told peeps it would be 2 hours and they went away!
Baseball is a good game.
I held on except for the last lap and to smack hands!
I look more Native American than usual ( I am a bit anyway), my eyes were super dry, and I probably did not smell too good later in the day.
"Gemini was great!"

Yeah, congrats guys! I tell you, I think I'm actually glad I didn't try. I am at work right now, and wow do I feel like crap. I couldn't imagine after the 100! Point of note, Jo. I did see one cop on my way BACK from the Po!nt, in Attica. In fact, I got a ticket for 35 in a 25 that I didn't even know was a 25. Then, because I didn't have the paperwork for my car yet, and the previous owner is from Kentucky, the cop accused me of stealing it! He told me he should tow my car and haul me to jail, but he "was going to trust" me. Yesterday was just not my day. Anyways, enough of my tangent. The girl that was with me said she thought you all were nuts, and I was too for wanting to do it with you, so I took that as a compliment. Way to go, guys!

That was a blast, it was awesome meeting all you fellow GTTPers. To bad "Mr. Spartan" and I had to leave early. Oh well, at least I got a front seat ride on MF that day.

Looper, I hear ya on that! Front seat was great. Every seat on MF is great, but now my favorite is the front seat!

The worst part of it was running around to get back in line. We do know the gemini speels very well. I think one of my best rides was when I stole a bear. Some kid in the other train was holding on to a bear you win he is reaching out for some hand smacks, I see it and steal it. In this kids same train is RGR, I toss it to him. We toss it back and forth till the end. I wonder what happened to that bear as I quickly darted out of the station.
Or there was the little kid in the blue train that said too me "We are going to beat you HA HA!!" while going up the lift. I said "We are going to ride 100 times today" That was the end of him. HAR HAR. Or my CP interviews asking people on the train how many times they rode today. Hearing a response of 3 or so. Then telling them our ride count, and some reactions were priceless.

It's Dan K's fault.
Jeff, maybe if you wanted a really nice nap you could do more than 100 on the Mine Ride ;)
Okay, last night I didn't hurt. Now, I hurt. But it's okay, it's just my BACK REALIGNING from all those rides in the third seats of cars.
