Maybe it's the best the marketing folks could come up with to try and downplay the fact that they don't have any photos or video of riders with their hands up...:)
Oh, it seems they aren't doing the individualized spiel anymore on Millennium Force.

video good, music sorry dog. get to the point good, hold on bad.
That is my take

Individualized spiel? Was that when the staplers came by and said to each person "keep your hands down/inside?"

Missy: I'm pretty sure that sexuality has nothing to do with the subject and I'd appreciate it if you didn't use that word in that context.
They've gotta bring back the sled spot this fall.
They should also shoot a good Halloweekends spot. Think about a nice filmed spot up against all of the terrible home-videoesque local haunted house spots. Hmmm, which will give a better impression?
The one good thing about the "hold on" theme is that I can't get the damn thing out of my head. Man, that's irritating.

For those of you who've been to CP already (which seems like everyone but me -- 3 more weeks) have they actually added something to the effect of "you must hold on", "don't raise your hands" etc. over and above "keep your hands in the car at all times"?

Hey guys, I'm back!
Not that I've noticed. IMHO, I don't think "Hold On" has any hidden meaning.

I think Hold On, is suggesting the wild time! Possibly with a lot of rides! Especially the Tallest Coaster on 6 continents! I think its not that bad, but I've seen better!

Jeff-according to slang now adays "gay", has nothing to do with sexuality but something along the lines of lame, or stupid! Just like a long time ago it meant Happy! Although I also don't agree with the use, but its still her opinion and her use of words!.

I thought "Hold On" was lame when I first saw it, but now that I've watched the commerciala few times, it really is hard to get it out of your head. I guess that's probably one of the things they were trying to achieve.

I finally got around to watching it and I must agree, the double entendre thing is really lame. Furthermore, I personally think it would be better to sell the more thrilling rides in the park with hard-hitting, exciting, dramatic, and/or "edgy" music as opposed to the effervecent pop music. Just a thought. I really like the television ads for Six Flags Great Adventure with the grandiose classical music because I find it to give the park a menacing, adventurous feel despite all the evidence to the contrary.
I too am not overly fond of the Hold On theme. I think it is boring and lacks immagination,, I do like six flags theme though,, I have to agree with Vitaminized on that one...it makes me want to go there. My fav CP ad was way back in the eighties...(my age is showing) when they were selling Demon Drop. Does anyone remember the spooky sounding music and the devilish song? I loved that! Made me wanna go back.. I had visited the year before,,,and then not again untill this past weekend. But I loved that Demon Drop ad!
I also have to agree with MDOmnis,, the crappin add sticks in your head. It's been in mine since I heard it and sneaks up on me whenever I have nothing better to occupy my mind.
Kruggie~~~puttin in her two cents again...and supprizingly has nothing to say about the use of the word "gay" as an adjective rather than a sexual preference though she refrains from using it so as not to offend.

I don't give two city chicken droppings what her opinion is if it's offensive. I find it offensive and intellectually weak, particularly with the number of gay members we have at this site. That's the end of the discussion. If you don't like it... I think you know where I'm going with this.

Kay,,, Who remembers the Demon Drop ad?
i live 45 min away from cp and i cant go through an hour with out hearing that commercial at least twice it is annoying
Well guys,
They can't have the same slogans every year, I mean wouldn't it get a little annoying hearing the "get to the point" slogan over and over and over and over and over and over. Not really, so hey, give CP some breathing room, think about it, without CP, this site wouldn't be here!
i meant to say, "see what i mean, not "not really! OOPS!!!!^^^^
I just watched it and it sounds very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, STUPID!!!! It also makes it sound like MF was #1 and Magnum #2 because it says "...featuring MF, Magnum, and Raptor..." then says "...voted 1, 2 and 4..." it does show Magnum when it says #1 but not everyone will catch that!
-------------
Woooooooooo!!! 3 more days!!!!! Wooooooooo!!!
The song is annoying.............
however, am I the only one who gets goosebumps when "Raptor" is said? :)

If I cant ride it, rope it, pull a trailer behind it, then I dont want it!! Cowgirl up!!
It's funny when you call the CP resorts reservation line, are put on hold, and you hear that jingle playing. It brings a whole new meaning to "Hold On!"
