Well, aren't there supposed to be guards on duty that stop you from going up the road? I've heard on more than one occassion that "they're supposed to stop you." But if they don't, whose fault is that? It's not like there's some big sign at the entrance to the road that says "No vehicles beyond this point, November-April" or anything of that sort. Plus to my knowledge, the marina is open year-round (or at least it's open more of the year than the park is), so people have to be able to get back there.
From what I was told, during the off season the road is open, but they have a gaurd of duty near the drive way for Famuos Dave's and the boat docks.

Isn't the indoor waterpark open all year around, though?
You mean the Breakers is closed for the winter as well? It would be beautiful to stay there during the winter when the snow has covered everything & Lake Erie is iced over.
Edit: Then again, it would remind me of The Shining!

"Heeeere's Johnny!" I haven't read the book. I just saw the movie about 2 years ago because I avoided it for so long.
But The Hotel Breakers would remind me of that hotel they were watching in the winter. Eee, chills...

Castaway Bay == Indoor Water Park.
Actually, when I was writing mine and posted it, yours was already up. I couldn't remember the name right away...
I don't like water parks in the winter. Wearing a swimsuit in January doesn't go over well with me. And they're never hot enough!

I just dont see how a book could be scary.
I'll tell you a scary book, and don't laugh: The Amityville Horror.
That's a scary-a$$ book. I had to get it out of my place after I read it.....bad Karma! That's the only book that scared me.

Books didn't scare me either...until I read that one. It was sinister.
I'm scared of heights, too- but I can't stop getting on those tall rides @ Cedar Point! What's up with that?
Oh, but I don't get on the Sky Lift...it dangles too much. I don't do dangling in the air.
