When the park is closed, I'm pretty sure they won't let you on the property unless you provide a good reason to be there at the toll booths.

You can go through the tool booths all year long. I have a house on the road along the chaussee (I never learned how to spell that, though) and I cut through cedar points parking lot all the time, even in winter. If you don't have a parking pass they charge $.25 to go through (thats at least in the winter, I have no idea about these weekends though), so realistically if you wanted to drive up and down perimeter road until you got enough pictures I don't see any reason why.
*NOTE*
This post was for informational purposes only. I don't actually advise someone doing this, because im sure security doesnt have much to do so they'll probably catch on by the second time you'd drive down there. Plus in two days everyone will know and maybe they'll have updates on the actual cedar point website, like they have in the past (even though they are like 4 months later)

Well, theoretically yes. But they do ask you where you're headed, do they not? And your parking pass expires sometime before October 31.

Why would the parking pass expire before the park closes? The season pass still works through the end of the season, the parking pass does too.

When I go up to get my season pass in April, I routinely cruise up Perimeter Road, even if there's no construction going on. I just love those first views of the park from the car. I head all the way around to the Breakers parking lot and back. Not once has anyone stopped me.

You aren't supposed to go anywhere past the season pass center. Nothing like admitting to tresspassing on a website.
You can get through the tollbooths if you go down the chaussee (There is likely no one there) however, again, you are tresspassing if you do anything but make a left and head down the causeway.
