Admission & Food Prices Dropped

And it may sell some more passes also. If people feel there is more value once they get in the park they may want to visit more often.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

I sure wish there were more specifics as to the food pricing for next year.

Brandon

I had heard once that the reason for not offering straws freely is that people just throw them on the ground and the seagulls would try to eat them but choke instead. Whether or not that's true, it would make sense.

At Donut Time, you can get both a straw and a lid for your Pepsi purchases. Some food stands have straws, but it seems that most don't.

Well hopefully this will bring more guests to the park next year. And I sure do hope they drop vending machine prices. At the bar outside of MF I got a large 40oz. soda for $2.50 and in line the machines are $3.00 for a 20oz. soda. That just doesnt make sense to me, but as long as people buy from the machines then they will stay.

It's because the vending machines are operated by the Merchandise department. Food Services has no control over those prices. Your best bet is to by soda from on of the food stands. It's cheaper there.

It's not really any different elsewhere. Go to a gas station that has fountain drinks and compare that to what a 20oz bottle costs out of the cooler.

They definately make a giant profit on the pop, because the syrup ,if I remember right, Is like $1 a gallon or less, though it may have gone up a bit. But still, If you say about $.05 for the pop syrup and maybe $.30 for the water in the cup, that's only $.35 cents they need to charge for the drink. Now after hourly wages for one employee and the paper cups, I could understandably see $2 for a pop.

Check this link out I found. http://www.pmq.com/cgi-bin/tt/index.cgi/noframes/read/20682 Your syrup price is a little too low.

I'm pretty sure I've heard around here people say that Pepsi charges much less because of the advertising it gets from being in a huge amusement park.

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

Hmmm...just a few years ago my youth pastor was thinking about getting a Pepsi fountain machine for the youth group. He said he could get the tanks of syrup for like $10 dollars, and that by charging like $.75 a cup (like a medium or large size) there would be like a 50 cent profit per cup because he could get the paper cups for free, and the Pepsi plant was like right down the road from the church. Maybe that was with a discount because it was a church?

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
