Well, yes - but there's a bunch of other guys at the office that are using it, too.
The benefits of working in the service provider department of an IT company are great, and many.
I recently got XP Pro for 7 dollars. Vista Ultimate and Office07 for free through my University. It's pretty cool that they have a decent agreement with Microsoft to do that.
Speaking of mac ( i own a imac g4) I got tiger for the student discount price which was pretty cheap as well as a keyboard. The Final Cut Pro/Studio series is only like 700 or so through school, when it sells for over a grand anywhere else.
I am a senior though, so I better buy up all the stuff I want now, or I will be screwed.

Why are you even bothering to purchase XP if you're going to buy OEM? You know that's not legal, right? So, you might as well just download a copy from the net. Unless it comes preinstalled on a PC, an OEM copy of Windows will get you in just as much trouble as a pirated copy. Both are illegal.
The MSDN subscriptions are a very awesome thing to have. :)
And there's nothing illegal about buying an OEM version of Windows, although technically you're supposed to show proof that you are also buying or have recently bought a mobo, RAM, CPU, and hard drive. Many places only require you to buy any piece of hardware to qualify for the OEM version, or at least that's how it used to be. I still have quite a few floppy drives around here that I bought for $7 just to be able to get the OEM Windows.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
Yeah Tim, Ralph's right, as long as you purchase a piece of hardware it's completely legal to buy an OEM copy of an operating system.

Ride on, MrScott!
Not to mention that when I purchased XP, I was running my own business - selling customs PC's.
