I understand that you feel a sense of being let down being unable to ride Maverick when you c/n pick up & come back at a moments notice. And I agree that it's frustrating when things aren't as they should be, but having to settle for a diffferent flavor Icee & walking to a different location for ice cream is not what I consider big issues, but rather minor inconveniences.
Try not to sweat the small stuff Caitie. I don't mean to sound condescending. I just know it's more fun to drink lemonade than suck on lemons :)
randi <><
Peace Love Hope
Ok I won't give you that I should be thankful crap!Every ride should be perfect for you with no roughness. All 17 of them .No one should ever run out of your flavor of custard and the whole world should just be perfect for you all the time including Cedar Point.May the world bow down to you .Please accept my forgiveness. *** Edited 8/19/2007 12:39:30 AM UTC by fastercat***
There is nothing wrong with being upset about maverick being down. Everyone goes to the park for different rides. Catie is just upset because she was looking forward to going on Mav. Nothing wrong with being upset.
I will be there Aug 29th-Sept 1 and if Mav is down for those days I will still have fun but will definitely be upset.
I would not blame the park though because I know they are doing everything in their power to get the ride up and running
I went on Friday. If you would have stayed until around 8:30pm you would've been able to ride Maverick because it opened around then. Also, my sister got vanilla custard...
I was at the park opening week and maverick was not runninig although it was supposed to be open on opening day.I stayed for 8 nights in a tower room for 200 plus a night and was so content to just be there.I was happy to even ride DT and ID with my little one and see the beach and go to Famous Dave's.I never even thought about complaining about Maverick because I was having too much fun.Mabey you should look through the forest to see the trees.
If you got a season pass, you could use it at any Cedar Fair park. You might find you would go more often if you had a pass.
Mine Ride wasn't down the entire time, either. We walked by it a few times and it was running.
I saw many people walking away from the Frozen Custard place on the main midway with vanilla custard. So apparently they weren't out the entire day.
Caitie, I go to many amusement parks all over the country. If there is a particular ride that isn't running when I am at Knott's Berry Farm, it's not a big deal to me. I am just happy that I am fortunate enough to even be able to go clear across the country to experience a park that's not Cedar Point. I'll just ride it the next time I go. It might not be for a year or 2, but I will eventually get to ride it.
You can't go through life letting the little things upset you. There is always going to be a next time.
If a ride being down and 2 places being out of the things you want to order makes you this upset, wait until you have kids, honey! Then you might learn what is worth making a big deal out of and what is not.
OK anyone saying DT is better than Space Mountain...is just insane.
And that is a reason I may not end up having kids!
It wouldn't have been so bad if every single problem we had wasn't back to back to back...literally
After reading your posts, I've come to realize that maybe it's better if you didn't have any kids. JMO
I rode Space Mountain many years ago, and DT more recently. I think they both suck. Again, JMO
And when I was at Disney, I didn't think that park was so great.
So... to Recap.
We have someone who appears to be a spoiled Rich Bitc* who apparently believe complaining constitutes working "hand and foot" to get her place in life.
She does not understand the laws of Supply and Demand, nor product supply estimation. She is Not forgiving of anyone's mistakes. She believes the world should run at 100% efficiency all the time. However, she contradicts herself because even she was not smart enough to call and learn the status of her favorite ride before she went to the park.
"Disney is better" blah blah blah. Disney also costs twice as much.
I actually bothered to read her posts until this line (replying to Canadian Fastercats mention of people dying for her freedom, "
Caitie said:
And if you are so grateful for America you move here, you seem more proud of it than most of us are
What a Bitc*. Caitie obviously does not have any friends or family in the military. How can someone be so cold as to not realize or be thankful that people are willing to die to she could be a Bitc*.
Regardless of what you think of our current presidential administration, Soldiers are still willing to die for you.
I am so pissed. You do not deserve the right to have the freedom to enjoy any amusement park without the risk of being blown up. You do not deserve the right to complain about not being able to have "luxury" foods. You do not deserve anything or any luxury that being in the borders of this country provides.
And yet these soldiers are still willing to die for you, as you insult them doing so.
Go back to your parent funded education with your car they bought you and disappear somewhere. Hell, go cry to them. No one here seems to care about your complaining.
Well, whaddya know. There is a Candy Mountain.
