2010 APPLICATIONS ARE NOW UP

Definatly stick it out for a couple of weeks and then decide if you want to stay. At first you are pretty much working every day but come June you will have more shifts than open-close.

I applied on thursday. I picked rides as my preferred choice, then anything else after that. If all goes well I will be working mid-May to early August.

hi all! been lurking for awhile now, I applied on Friday hoping to do rides (although I've done food for years!) it would be my first year at the park providing everything works out!

got an email today from karrah yerage wanting to do a phone interview!....excited!!!!! anyone else got anything in their email?

Karrah is the area 2 manager. That is everything from Matterhorn to Magnum.

Wow. You already got an email? I only got the confirm email... And I'm pretty sure I filled out my app out the night it came out.

hmmm, i filled mine out the day it came out too and when i had checked my app it said it was reviewed by debra reinaur and kerrah yerage and i checked my email and kerrah had emailed me setting up a time for the interview...i wonder why you havent been emailed.

I have also not been emailed and I applied the first day. It should be anytime soon!

just had my interview, and im proud to say im a 2010 ride host!!!!! not sure which ride yet though

I put sweep as my second choice and now i'm regretting it cus I heard its the worst job :( I just thought I would get some exercise lol

opinions please! and can i tell them in the interview or would they be mad?

Its definitely NOT the worst job. You just walk around sweeping and answering questions. Pretty basic. Nothing horrible about that.

At least sweeping you don't stare at the same thing everyday.

The week I was a sweep was one of my FAVORITE weeks of the season:)

I have to say I worked as a sweep for over a month my first year at Cedar Point. It was not the hardest however it did ask for a lot out of you if your not willing to give it. You have to have the heart to be able to go around talking to people and at the same time cleaning up after others. I do believe what other people said about this being the best job ever is very true. You meet more people then you know what to do with and almost everyone is friends with one another :D You guys will have a lot of fun :D
