Whats the deal with housing and not being 18 yet. I did my app and I put that no I wont need housing because it made me but I will need housing. Do I need to email them?
You have to be 18 to live in housing if you will be 18 before you start then you will probably have to tell them in your interview.
2012: Server- TGIFridays- Cleveland Road
2011: Foods: Grill Cook- Joe Cool Cafe
2010: Merchandise: Speed Zone/ Soak City
2009: Merchandise: Speed Zone
2008:Merchandise: Joe Cool Corner Store, Speed Zone
2007:Corkscrew, Cp and Le Railroad, Skyhawk, Kiddy Kingdom, Iron Dragon
As long as you're 18 before your start date and you let them know during the interview, you should be alright.
As this will be my 1st season at Cp hopefully, how long does it take to find out if you have gotten a job?? I know we have to go through the interview but how long after do we find out if we have gotten the job?
They will pretty much tell you in your interview which will come in early feb more than likely. You wont find out what location you are in until late March.

i picked rides as my 1st, food as my 2nd, and hotel as my 3rd.
i really would like rides though as i love to meet new people and i like to stay busy!
i see your the team leader of gemini! thats one of my favorites it was my very 1st coaster. though i do believe blue wins every time lol
I submitted my application too! This would be my first summer at Cedar Point so I'm really hoping I get hired.
Rides are fun to work the first few years but I learned I made more money as a server then I ever did in rides and I worked less.

Servers can clean up the cash during the heat of the summer. That is true. But CP normally wont give a new hire that position. The managers like to know you before putting you in a position that not only is wanted by many, but also is completely guest service related. Sorry but an application tells them nothing to how you will handle the pressure of a 13 hour day, daily. Because most have never worked like that before. You may think you have, but unless you had 3 jobs at home at once, you haven't.

For the phone interview, will they email a time when they are going to call? Will they call refferences first?
Thankyou to everyone who is helping us out with these questions.
As far as i know they will not e-mail you a designated time. Last year i was in class when the call came, they left me a voice mail to please call before 5. Dont worry about missing it, they will get a hold of you.

I was emailed and set up a certain time for the phone call. And although they hire a lot of people... the do not hire EVERYONE so make sure you do your best on the app.
My signature was longer than three lines.
also- this is key; it's a hard, long summer but it's SO worth it. don't give up before the season gets going. i've seen this first hand and have heard many stories filled with regret after leaving. this will honestly be one of the best if not THE best summer of your life. :)
