I noticed that the applications are no longer available. Does anyone know why? I already filled one out will it still be valid or will I have to fill it out again when they become available again?

Probably because they were never officially released as everyone thought they were...
More than likely you won't have too. The site is just down for site maintence. I already got my e-mail confirming my application is in the system, so I doubt you have re-apply.
None the less, I emailed human resources about it and they said that I will have to fill one out again in mid-january when they are available again.
I am just weird and like to get applications, interviews, etc done for jobs early. For instance, I have an interview at the rec center for a lifeguard position next week and I will not start there until the end of January.
Yeah I am!! I absolutely love lifeguarding and have been doing it for almost three years now. I am hoping Soak City will be a face-paced, chaotic environment because I love chaos. I work at a water park right now, but it is not a huge one.
At times it will be very fast paced and/or chaotic depending on where you are guarding. But you wont want that all the time since it gets very busy there.
Check out this page. It will help you out a lot. I don't think its updated anymore but it still had good info on it. If you have any questions about guarding at Soak City, PM me, I can answer them.
Thanks! I don't have any questions right now about lifeguarding but I will let you know if I think of any. I do have a general question. I am planning to process in around May 21 or 22. Will there probably still be rooms in the Commons Dorms left??
Yes. Despite what anyone might tell you, there are always a spot left in a dorm at Commons. Not to mention once you get there and take lifeguard class, you will probably meet other guards who will offer a room to share.
Yeah, rooms stay open pretty frequently in Commons. There are always people quitting, getting fired, etc.
Actually getting a room together might be tough by mid-May. There are always single spots open in rooms throughout the summer, but a room with 2 empty spots is tough to find that late. Good luck, though!
Thanks! Hopefully, there will still be rooms left, and if not I think we will try to live in the commons apartments.
Trust me, I'm pretty sure you'd rather live separately than live in those apartments. They are awful. Not just the apartments themselves, but the living arrangements too.
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
I agree with chris, I stayed in the apartments for about two months and they some good points and some bad, mostley bad.
The good
- has sort of a living room area
- private bathroom
the bad
- lot of roomates 3 or four per room
- so about 20 or more people per apartment
-just cause you like a cleanshower doesnt mean others will
- loud neighbors
when i work there next year Ill more than likely go for a dorm just because there so much nicer. like the main problem I had was that some other people staying with us had no idea what it means to throw food away.

Yuck . . . I hope we get a dorm or maybe we will just split up and both stay in dorms. Living in the apartments does not sound fun. In the dorms how many roommates do you normally have?? My boss at the water park I currently work at worked at Soak City for two or three summers and she said that there were two person dorms, three person dorms, and four person dorms. Is it still the same?
