I honestly can't remember what I paid last year for housing, but as many know, the rates were recently taken off the CP site, raising the question as to whether or not they'd be changed.
Well...here they are:
Cedars/Golds - $16.80/wk
Bayside/Commons apartments - $24.00/wk
Commons dorms - $31.20/wk
2007 - Wicked Twister
2008 - Wicked Twister
2009 - (Walt Disney World) Space Mountain/Tomorrowland Speedway
Not that bad rate wise i would say

Hmmm...I think the dorms may have actually dropped...by $1.30. I know I was paying $32.50 every week for housing. This is going to save me, what, like $30 by the end of the season? meh.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
I thought that they went down. I was thinking I paid around $32.50 for dorms last year, so you just confirmed it.
At least they dropped the rates, even if slightly. Better than raising them!

Geez...I wonder why Cedars went up? It doesnt make any sense, last year I paid $15 a week. Why would the off Point dorms go down while the on Point dorms go up considering the conditions of each place.

The housing rate on the website for Cedars/Golds has been $16.80 since at least 2006, I believe...that's what I paid my first year.

Frankly, in most cases, they should pay YOU for living in housing.

Obligatory /. response: In Soviet Russia, housing pays you! ;) Guessing that less than 1/3 of you even know what /. is, you probably didn't get the joke at all.
Okay, so jokes aside, I'm glad to see that we got a slight reduction for the dorms, even if it doesn't really mean that much in the end. But, the Chief is right, for the most part.

I could have sworn Cedars was cheaper last year. For some reason $12.80 comes to my mind. I could very well be wrong though.

The old adage is true...you get what you pay for.
At Disney I was making something like $5.30/hr (early 90s) and paid somewhere around $57/week for housing. BUT, I was living in a 3 bedroom condominium, 6 of us in all. The condo had cable tv, a kitchen with all of the pots, pans, dishes, dishwasher, stove, etc. We had two bathrooms.
The condo complex had two pools, tennis courts, a weight room, computer lab, etc. I had NO problem seeing that deduction in my paycheck each week.
Someday, under a new administration, Cedar Fair will finally realize the vast opportunity they have been missing all these years.

I paid 31.20 a week for the dorms.. so I think they are the same. Actually it was more like $20-30 per week most of the time.

Rates look the same, but they have always been based on a 50 or 60 hour (or so) work week. So if you only work 40 hours, its prorated to a lower price
If my memory serves me these are the same rates that I paid all four seasons that I lived in housing (00-02, 04).
