2001 Season Passes

Should be a little better than at opening....

this year the machine just spits it out
Well, we got our passes processed today. I must say, I was rather impressed.

Now, the fact that we got at the park by 8:30am helped ;) (We figured if we were going to have to wait either way, may as well try to get the waiting time in when we're not wasting RIDING time ;) )

The center opened promptly at 9:00, and we were in and out by 9:15! 3 of the 4 photo stations were running. Similar system to the Paramount and Six Flags centers, only the resulting pass has a much-higher quality COLOR picture on them. Cool...

Good for You GregLeg1. The line stretched WAY long down the entrance plaza when I showed up around 2:30. Of course I already had my pass :).

Yup. When we left at 6 to drive back to Pgh, there was STILL a rather lengthy line. Yikes.

We'd talked about making a special trip for processing, but decided against it. It was a matter of PERSONAL time-economics. 6 hours driving, plus a potential wait in line, just to avoid a line on opening day, wasn't worth it *to us* -- for some people I'm sure it would be.

Especially when we were able to beat most of the line on opening day anyway ;)

I was like you, greg. However, I didn't get to the park until about 9:15. Finally got through with my pass around 11:30!! I was so tired of waiting I almost bought a one day ticket and get the pass next time. Glad I didn't though. $40 I'm glad I didn't spend. They even let people into the park without the photo, if they already had their certificates. Unfortunately, I didn't know I would be going opening day until it was too late to order mine and have it sent to me. Didn't even know 100% if I was going until Saturday night. I have to say, one thing PKI does well is pump you through for passes. That room at CP just isn't big enough. They need about 15 computers, instead of 4. But hey, 4 is better than 1 or 2. Just throwing in my 2 cents.

Do they stop selling the passes after opening day? Or can you get them anytime.

You can get them anytime...

MF 2001 - Double digits already.. and that's only the second day. :)
On opening day I was waiting in line to get the Season Pass papers I got from cedarpoint.com into the real plastic pass but a guy told me to use this special gate to get in so I still have that paper and got in the park, weird...they just wrote something on it when I entered.

Just a reminder: You must have a photo ID to get in the park. Vouchers will not be good enough to get you in. That was only for opening day. I believe last Saturday the line got up to an hour.

That is why you skip the lines, and make a trip to get them redeemed before the park opens, as you will be fine then.
