Yes, you can pull on of the middle cars out because the trains are articulated (sp?). Here is a good pic of the end of the train and the joints that hold them together.

BTW, I'm wondering if ttd will actually meet the capacity estimates. Intamin said that Xcelerator gets 1330pph capacity, but if you've ever seen how the ride cycles (ie train 2not entering for a few unneeded seconds after train 1 launch), you'd know that even with lightening fast crews, the ride can't pull much higher than 850pph. Right now at 1 train (other train is in rehab- and finally getting reassembled) and the 62 second cycle, its getting 500pph capacity. 700pph MAX when 2 trains are running.
It really depends on how long it takes for the launch dog to go back to the launch position. Its about 40 seconds on Xcelerator, but TTD has a MUCH longer launch track.
