Funky Town tops my list...I would die happy if I never hear that song again...I heard it 4 times yesterday.

They need to update their music selection every year with modern music that is popular...and not just the top 40 stuff. They need to play some of the same music given to the DJ in the Raptor line.

I wanted to smack the guy in MF's line that was the DJ the beginning of the summer. He only played R&B and crappy old MoTown...he turned down every request...he played what he wanted to hear, not what other people wanted to hear.

I can't believe nobody's mentioned Paul Simon: "You Can Call Me Al" (and, I'm sure that isn't the proper title, but.. you know what I'm talking about)

I thought the deejays were doing a much better job this year mixing it up. Remember they can only play what they are given (and it's not very much). Even for staying within "family-atmosphere" (Lady Marmalade is family atmosphere???) boundaries, the selection throughout the park is weak and extremely repititous.

They just need to find more family friendly songs that are not so popular because this could turn more people on to some of the bands that make good music but may not be as well known.

You are right about adding more songs, but they could even add more top 10 instead of the same 20 songs over and over all day.

My personal favorite is Come To Me by France Joli. Everytime I hear that song, it puts me in a good mood! However I am a little upset that they decided to cut out a lot of songs. During the week of the 4th of July, they made the midway music all instrumental band music, and when they changed it back to the regular music, a lot of songs were missing. Am I the only one that has noticed this? Three songs I have noticed specifically are Smooth, Mambo King, and Venus. I'm sure there are a lot more.

One day, back in the mid 90's, we were working on the main midway before park opened. Something must have been stuck somewhere, because Toni Braxton's "Another Sad Love Song" kept playing over and over for an hour ... at a very high volume. Just before the gates opened, they played the national anthem, finally giving us a break. But right after the song ended, it went right back into Toni. We should have gotten hazard pay that day. :)
