I never knew that rain could hurt that much

I went to CP on tuesday. The forecast was for scattered t-storms all day. When we got there, the only rain we saw during the day was a little 2-minute sprinkle here and there..... that was until about 10:15. At about 9:45 we decided to get one last ride on the MF, and as I boarded the red train i felt a slight mist, but didnt think anything of it, until we ascended the lift hill. This had been my 13th time riding MF, but it was definately a new and lets say painful experience. As we went up the lift hill it started pouring, and it did not let up until after we had gotton off of the MF and out of the park. The rain hurt so bad, that i could not even sit up and open my eyes. It was definately an experience that i will never forget.

That is why at a park I usually pack a pair of riding glasses... (The type with an elastic strap, and covers the whole eye, the type for riding motorcycles.) Definately required coaster gear especially at CP during mufflehead season..;) Just throw a pair in your park fanny pack or car, you never know when they are going to be needed, and with the elastic strap I have never been hassled for getting on a ride with them.

In August of 2000, I rode MF in the rain also with my friend and that was my best ride ever on it. I don't know but the rain added to the excitement. Although it's painful, it's still pretty sweet.
