"Cedar Point is building for the future!"

I'm not always right, but the notion that anyone could predict what would go on a generic concrete footer (have I mentioned a tall street lamp would fit there?) is beyond the realm of rational thought.

Ha! Yeah, for all we know, it could be a tall and fancy street light.

Yea well its not going to be a tall and fancy street light...its most likely going to be some kind of roller coaster or some kind of ride...so far all the signs are pointing to some kind of roller coaster....unless they build something in the middle of the season....this could be somthing big for 2003.

Alittle off the current subject of streetlights, but when did the article about CP and the new warehouse come out?

Hrm, I saw a concrete footer near my house near an intersection. Maybe they're opening the park up to traffic!

Jeff,

They are only having fun. :) I know I have fun reading what they think. Isn't that the point? (No pun intended) lol.

Like you always say, those that know won't talk, those that don't know talk. I like to hear them talk. Don't you?

:)

The guys as Cedar Point said Friday that they watch guidetothepoint.com all the time, they
must enjoy it as well.

Anyone have pictures of these signs?

Having fun is one thing, but to disguise a wish list as truth is just silly.

Chief Wahoo said:
How does, "Cedar Point is building for the future. More news later this season." in any way suggest that it is going to be big?

To me, it suggests that something is going to be built there, period.

--------------------------------

Why else would they put signage up unless to get people talking / start promoting whatever they're doing? I didn't say this suggests a big coaster or anything else (it could be a giant lamppost for all we know) but just something CP wants us to start making a big deal over (which it seems would happen whether they added to the hype or not around here...)

I guess my point was, Jeff, that you have this habit of being correct about these types of things when the all the dust settles. Amazing!

Yeah, it must be a "lamppost". Why else would they put signs around a huge white fence proclaiming something new for the future. "A brand new, shiny 'lamppost'!"

The last time we saw one of these "Coming Soon" signs was for MF. Before that, I'm not sure.

Still, let's wait for rational arguements.

I did not see anything with the words coaster or rollercoaster in those signs. Are you looking at the same signs that I am? I hope this isn't another thread about footers that extends to 600 posts again.

Employies at BreakWater Cafe told me cP is going to try to top 400 soon. But in the other post that "truck driver" said they were going to make a 425ft coaster, so this is nothing new. Just felt like saying it.

Here we go again...

With the sign up we can tell they are doing something...But doesn't a big fence with concrete blocks in the middle of it say the same thing?.......

I wonder...

I have a feeling that it might be a tall non-coaster thrill ride. Something like a Power Tower or Vertigo shaped thing that is tall yet skinny. There doesn't seem to be enough space for any type of large full scale coaster in that area.

Well the Vertigo had totally different footers...the footers were like build into the poles....so thats probably out. i do agree that there Might be a tall Flat ride. But i got my money on a roller coaster.
