Thats right people...as if footers werent enough, theres now signs posted all over Area 51's fence. The signs read "Cedar Point is building for the future! More news later this season!".

Now that is a very PKI-ish thing to do...this suggests that whatever is going in behind there, it will be big!

I just wonder if "later this season" will be the last few weeks of October, when they usually announce their new additions.

New warehouse for merch/games is going up near the Breakers Express. I havent seen what your talking about but it's possible that this is what your seeing.

Actually in the picture that linked to on page 22 of that long thread you clearly see brown supports. The report said that they were coaster supports, but they can be wrong...

To me, it suggests that something is going to be built there, period.

Well, we don't know if it's a coaster or a huge ride, but I gurantee it's not a sit-down restaurant now. I agree with DBCahill, construction beyond the norm must be starting soon because they won't be able to hide it.

I'm going to come right out and say it... some of you need to get a grip. Senseless speculation based on a couple of footers that could be for nearly any type of ride in the park is just outright stupid. Any steel ride known to the amusement industry could live on those footers... ANY STEEL RIDE. Furthermore the appearance of something Utah has zero to do with anything in Sandusky, Ohio.

The conclusions some people draw with such little information is absurd!

People keep asking why they'd pour something this early. Think about it... they've extended their season by a month. Any portion of a new ride that would be in public areas wouldn't otherwise be started until the first week of November, which is entirely too late. You can't do it in July either, so that pushes you to the previous off-season.
