WT is Testing!

3:45 p.m.

I am about 90% sure that WT is testing.

1) Jeff said it was, just not captured on the cam.

2) The construction cam is down. Could just be down?

3) If you look at the beach came. It looks like there might be a train going up the front spike sometimes.

I think it is, but I don't think they are going full blast because I haven't seen it at the top of the spike yet.

4:00p.m.

As soon as I posted this the crane started moving around and the Construction cam came back up and it is at the right time. Maybe CP is doing something to hide test?j/k

Correct me if I'm wrong and sorry for the false alarm if I am.

On my computer I can only see half the message. Is that my computer acting up or is it like that for everyone?

I just looked at the web cam....it is working fine for me. But wicked twister is not testing yet.....if you look closley at the station it looks as if there is a blue tarp over the track in the station.

As of 4pm....I don't think they're testing....if you look closely, it looks like there's a blue tarp hanging over the track inside the station. However....if my eyes serve me, it looks like they are putting the gondolas on the Giant Wheel... I think 1 or 2 may be on already, and others are sitting over by DT.

I watched it for 10 minutes after you posted, and nothing was moving. Space Spiral was at the top the whole time. I don't believe the cam was refreshing.

Yeah as soon as I posted the second time I saw the tarp. Maybe they were putting the gondolas on the Wheel.

Sorry False alarm. Jeff you can delete this thread, don't want you have to pay too much.

This thread still serves a purpose Feel_The_Force. I also see what apears to be gondolas on the GW. There is also a Crane in by Iron Dragon.

What appears to be Gondolas by DT are little shade devices that go over benches that face the lake and now WT. They are blue and they have those criss crossed metal seats there like they have back by MF.

I also have noticed the crane with someone going through the tower on WT. I think it is possible they are putting lights on the tower now. Although we probably won't see it lit up for a while still.

*Edit* I guess ther eisn't Gondolas on GW yet. It doesn't appear that way anymore.

I have it on good authority that the ride has indeed been tested at low speeds.

OMG! The Space Spiral is leaning!!" Must be the weight of that new air conditioning system everyone keeps hypothesizing about...

I had heard some rumors that they have been shooting commercials, or filming something else, from the Space Spiral. Any one hear this too?

I was up there tonight. I didn't see any testing. There aren't any gondolas on the Giant wheel. They were doing touch-up paint jobs on Blue Streak's new coat of paint, looks great. And...some of the dismantled Vertigo towers are sitting next to Mean Streak. I have a picture of Blue Streak and of Vertigo's towers and car...e-mail me if you would like to see them. Or, Jeff, if you would like me to e-mail them to you so everybody can see them on the website? Great weather out there today...a little windy as usual though.

JayDubs, that may explain why people have seen the Space Spiral up mid-tower, although it's been at the bottom all year.

I noticed in the pics that the crane was right next to the back spike that the train is on. Do you think it is possible that crane is doing a pull through, or is it serving some other purpose. Either way, it's great to finally see this thing running!

No you can see the bucket or whatever it's called on the ground and the crane is atached to that not the train....

The crane is not doing a pull through. I watched the avi and you will notice that the train makes several back and forth movements through the station before it makes a full launch. The entire process takes them over an hour.
