I heard this on Toledo 11 News.....there was minimal damage to it....I heard this and just about cried....God, I just hope it's okay and still being put up for 2002!!

I know, I just went to check the site too and nothing there...nothing on 13ABC either.

To be honest though, my parents saw it and called me out of my room to tell me.

Why would Vertigo suddenly collapse?  I don't think it could be the cold, or wind.

Maybe the wind?

Why would it be wind? The towers feel a lot more force when its giving rides, doesn't it? Wheres Rob, he might know.

.. I'm looking for info.. however, by your guys initial reports, I'd have to believe it be WT.

Why?

There are no support beams on Vertigo.. just the towers... and the 65 foot level is mid lower section #1.. Kinda hard to "snap" a tower that thick around.

NO! I've never ridden Vertigo before...I want to....

This would be horrible for S&S...there just starting to get big and now this....

pezmanguy3

Yeah, but wouldn't we see lights around Wicked Twister on the Cam if it had collapsed?

If you look at Vertigo, there are many pieces, each around 65 feet. My guess is the top one came off, hopefully it went right, because if it went left then BYE BYE Mangum.

Okay.....now I feel bad....should have gotten my facts straight first...all I can really say is that "something" happened! LOL! Sounds more like WT...my parents are sure they heard that name.
