Can you borrow a SOP?

I was wondering if Cedar Point would allow a Ride operator to borrow the SOP to take home, or do they have to stay at the park? Thanks.

Each ride Op is given an SOP book when they start and they must be returned along with all ride operations manuals upon or before out-processing..

Thanks Rob. I know someone who re-wrote the Villain SOP because he said it wasn't really good. I guess it looks like he might have a harder time doing that at Cedar Point. When you say "start" do you mean that day or the beginning of the season?

Or you can "lose" your manual for $10! :)  Same with your ID, but I think it's $15 to replace that.  I just got a temperary ID to keep as a souvineer! :)

Standard operationing procedures manual.  It will be your bible, unless you are a ride w****.  Rewriting different parts of the Mine Ride manual was really fun.  Too bad its traditions change year to year.  I could easily go another summer watching mullets flow in the wind by the "rollback" spot.

At the end of the season, Park Operations destroys all manuals... If you are lucky enough to work past 'the end', they are technically yours to keep :-)

I still have my SOP from Tolls & Traffic Control. Let me tell you that is a bare to try to learn. I know it looks so smooth when you are whizzing past us in the lot but that is one of the hardest things to learn this summer. Heck, that is harder than Calculus..!
