Rain Gear

I know employees get two uniforms when they process in. I have a few questions about this:

First, do you get a choice of shorts or pants? Next, as far as jackets and rain gear goes, do you buy them or are they given as well. Also what exactly is CP rain gear. And if you buy them do you keep them? Any other info would be helpful!

You do get 2 work uniforms for free.  But as for the other stuff you have to pay for it.  Or it can be taken out of your paycheck.  For the rain gear.  You get rain pants and a rain jacket. For the wind suit you get wind pants and a wind jacket.  Trust me it should keep you warm.  And yes you do get to keep the rain gear and wind suit.  You also have to buy a belt with your uniform.  Good Luck

My next question is....does it get that cold up there in Ohio in the summer time? I live in Vegas meaning I get a chill everytime the temperature dips below 80. j/k

Also I am putting park operations office clerk as my first choice. Does anyone know what that uniform is?

When you get your information to work at CP, they usually advise you to bring atleast $100 to cover you for a while.  Cuz you won't get your first paycheck until around 2 weeks later.  And yes it does get a little chilly.  I processed in on April 16. From that day until late May early June.  It was just a little nippy.  A bit of advice.  On those cold days, (especially around the time the park closes for the season), don't even bother putting on your uniform.  When the park was open on the weekends, and it was cold.  I just wore my regular clothes under my rain gear and wind suit.  Nobody will even notice the difference.  Just as long as you have your wind suit or rain gear on with your name tag.  Then nobody can say anything to you.

Good luck.  And make the best of your time at CP.

They say $100 will do but I suggest a little more. My roommate only had about $100 and she ran out of money rather quickly. In the beginning the caf is only open for certain hours so you are probably going to be eating at Che Fast Food. I was smart and brought my check book. It was freezing for the first month and a half that I was there (I arrived in April) and I ended up getting pretty sick. There was no heat in my dorm so I suggest bringing an extra blanket. And the rain suit/blue suit will cost you a pretty penny, they will keep you warm and they're really good to have around. Good luck and I hope to see you there!

Heh...they have everything from small to (I think) 3XL. They've put some pretty big folks into them. Granted I don't know you, but you should be fine.

Guys in Park Op office (just like Guest Services) have to wear blue bants and a white button up shirt with a collar.  You get these at Wardrobe, but they're not exactly the best, I ended up going out and getting my own pants and shirt.  The good thing about the pants from Wardrobe is that they never get wrinkled.  You'll also get a nifty Snoopy tie.

But, I've also heard it may switch over to Polos and khaki pants, so who knows.

Well, if they powers that be give me a job at CP this summer then Ill be up there by the 20th of May and stay till the 16th of August.

As for office uniforms, that doesnt sound that bad...hehe. I have essentially that same clothing in my closet now.

BTW... how many people do they pick for park op office. Would there be a better chance to work in rides.

If you don't get the job in the office then put rides as your second choice. If your hired, and you don't get the job in the office, then they will ask you if you have any preference for another department. Good Luck...By the way...If you make it by the 20th you'll be just in time for my birthday!
