Didn't get any notification as to when tickets were going on sale. Looks like it was this morning and now it's sold out.
If anyone has any extra ticket, I will gladly take it off your hands. Please PM/DM me.
Thanks.
Bill
I love the smell of roller coasters in the morning!
Went on sale at 10. Tried at 10:40 and gone already. Same as Hank, let me know if you have an extra.

Pretty wild. I logged on shortly after 10:00 just to see the itinerary and the price point. Tickets were $65 for event only (I think like $110 with admission) this year. I'm wondering how high prices will go in coming years, if they continue to sell out this fast.

Nice lineup this year. Wish I could attend! Maybe next year!
That there Clark is an RV.....
Has anyone ever visited the park on coastermania day and not been part of it? How are the operations? With the ert I assume closing some rides here and there it can be interesting. I try to avoid it but ya never know what my schedule will allow.
First ride; Magnum 1994
This Coastermania could end up being the same as last year, if things don't work out.
1. We cannot confirm or deny that Siren's Curse will be open for Coastermania.
2. There is the risk that TT2 will once again be a lawn ornament.
Sorry for the negativity, but my family's CP trip last August and the abrupt coaster removals around SF parks have me expecting the worst.
Unofficial Rule of Ride Removals
You must announce removals in advance so people can get their last rides in, unless a major incident or malfunction prevents the ride from doing so.
This applies to roller coasters, flat rides, water rides, and so on.
Exceptions to this rule include upcharge attractions, waterpark rides, and rides that are effectively redundant within a park.
Cedar Point is still a great park with a lot of rides other than TT2 and Sirens Curse. Even if both rides are closed I'm sure Coastermania will be just fine. There is quite a bit of ERT scheduled and if people only go to CP a few times a season its a good way to get some rides in on the more popular coasters without huge waits. For me personally the event is no longer worth it but for a lot of folks it is.
No rides are closed during normal hours. No sour grapes here but having tickets go on sale at 10: 00 am is not fair to us who do not have internet access at work .
I thought the lottery method would be a good way to handle it that way everyone has a chance to get tickets. But then you have those that complain stating they have been going for 10 years in a row and deserve to go again. I have been to several Coastermania and enthusiast events at a few parks now and I find that a rather sizeable portion of the group feel that they are entitled and should get special treatment because they are a member of club X or rode whatever so many times last season. That is at least part of the reason I tend to stay away from these events now.
Well phooey. I checked the Cedar Point website Wednesday night and saw the itinerary, and just saw that tickets were "on sale soon." Thursday evening I get home to find out that tickets are already sold out. If I know what time they are going on sale, I can take a break and get them ordered. However, I can't be checking the Cedar Point website every 15 minutes all day every day to see if they might be available. Yes, I am frustrated, but what can you do? First world problems.
I'm not sure why the price had to be kept a secret until they went on sale. My friend and I were texting each other at 10 a.m., debating whether the cost ($76 after fees) was worth it, especially since our last Coastermania experience was just OK. By 10:15 we'd decided to bite the bullet... and it was already sold out. Oh well.
And rereading my 2022 post there reminded me how much I miss HoliWood Nights... Ah, for the days when our hobby was less popular. :D
I have only been to one Coastermania. It was the one in 2011. It was two days. We didn't get there until about 7pm on Friday. First ERT didn't start until after the park closed that night. ERT went til after midnight. Then started up again at 5:30am (I think--know it was very early). We stayed at Breakers so we slept a couple hours and headed back out early. Last ERT started after the park closed for the night and ran to midnight. We drove home after that. My son kept track of rides that weekend and it was something like 65. Was a lot of fun.
$76 is honestly super cheap and is a low risk event all things considered 🤷♂️ I logged in rights at 8 my time (when it was announced to get them) and had 0 issues, my hope is the tickets are a bit more limited than other years.
I'm still looking for an extra ticket if anyone has one.
Thanks.

I wonder if they would ever consider doing this event on a closed day. Like the Tuesday after labor day and have half the coasters going each half of the days event. Staff would be reduced but only running a few rides at a time might work.
First ride; Magnum 1994
They've already done this. It was call MillenniaMania.
Limited number of people and limited number of rides, the 5 biggest if I remember correctly. It was a hard ticket event and didn't go nearly as well as the park hoped.
I had a blast. Met some pretty cool people from here for the first time those days.

Ah, yes. Millennium Mania. September 13, 2000. I remember it well. I got 25 rides on Millenniom Force that evening. This after its debut season when lines were hours long. I recall that Millennium Mania also happened in 2001. But Millennium's lift cable snapped on Labor Day weekend that year so it was unavailable for MM. So CP substituted free rides on Invertigo--the upcharge attraction in Challenge Park that lasted half a season. I was there for that as well. Am I remembering this correctly?
