Kronos not showing ordered time off?

Okay, here's the context: I have my schedule showing that I work Friday, but my AS called and told me to take Friday off because of the bad weather and beach hazard that was put out. However, when I looked at Kronos, it still showed that I was scheduled to come in at 10 tomorrow. What gives? Is anyone else having issues with Kronos while we're on the topic?

Your leader probably hasn’t updated your schedule in Kronos yet. Many are building schedules in another format first then entering it into Kronos. They still have to go into Kronos to make the change. There is a learning curve to the intricacies of this new system.
