Rougaru was cycling during Friends and Family Day. I could have sworn it was even giving rides that day, although I didn't pay super close attention. So I would assume staffing is the reason it's not been running until now.

I was at CP today and rode Raptor, Blue Streak, Valravn, Corkscrew, Gemini, SkyHawk, and Rougarou between 11:00am & 1:00pm, all walk-ons.

WOW. CP running the big ones during the rain today! Is it that the magnetic breaks have improved during rain!?

The question is - are they running multiple trains?

Nothing says "Fun" like waiting in a light drizzle for a one train operated Valravn. And that was before social distancing!

Haha... I’ll take one train over none. One thing that Covid has taught me, is that people do not have any patience.
When I’m at the store , I think , I’m glad that I grew up with cedar point & Geauga lake in my backyard and I know how to wait in line!

Oh me too! And this year just having the park and operating smoother than ever this last week or so is awesome.

But when I think of the driving rain I grew up riding CP & GL coasters in as a kid. And the moderate to steady rain Kings Island, Kings Dominion and Carowinds still operate their coasters in with all trains. And then to see CP shut down Magnum for an hour because of a 25 second misting. It just doesn't make sense. I'd give up a decade of new coasters for a more sensible rain policy and renovated bathrooms.

They're online as far as I'm concerned.

Webcams are working for me. It doesn't appear that Steel Vengeance, Maverick, MF, or Gatekeeper are running today.

The park looks unbelievably cold.

That said, I would love to be in a Lakeview suite right now, looking out on the frozen lake with a cup of hot cocoa and enjoying the quiet.

Actually not too bad of a day. Sunny, mid 20's and light winds. Next week, totally different story.

I'd rather be on my ice boat on the bay, but the ice looks crappy.

I see they updated the main Cedar Point site to be even more mobile friendly. It looks so bad on a big monitor though.

Question, didn't they have three cameras before? I think it was pointed at the main midway.

I believe the one you are thinking of Mr.Skyhawk06 is the one that was mounted on The Corral. Since the renovation of that eatery I haven't noticed it on the CP site. It was usually aimed at the area that formerly had the splash fountain and is presently where the Legacy Pavement Bricks are.

I miss that camera, used to phone my elderly mother from near the fountain and she could see us while we talked.

Honestly it's kind of a shame that they got rid of it. Maybe they can find a good place for a third webcam and put it back. Although where would you point it? The marina? The beach? The midways? Where?

The link is still there, I posted it awhile back when I was poking around the raw code for the site, is not linked to anything at the moment though. I believe Tony said they do plan on bringing it back eventually in a tweet?

Still haven't been able to uncross these circuits...
