New Name

Actually I think It hilarious! Thursday soon as I walked by they closed the line down because of a problem with the lift sled. I just started laughing like crazy. So far my list also includes

-Having it roll back when I was there. later it ran but I left
-The computer Glitch problem on the 25th, did not see it up all day (although I may be wrong)
-There the day after it was stuck last year, rode something and left!
- had it break down numerous times when I'm in line
-Twice I Sat in the train but was told to get out, did not get to ride.
-Sat on the brake run for 10 minutes
-waited in line an hour and was literally sent home.

Sure I'm there a lot, but when I'm there it has about a 33% downtime! Can anyone top that?

All I have to say to respond to that is, "Don't go the same day I go there!" Nothing personal, I just want to ride Millie. ;)

What's wrong with calling it "Millennium?" A bunch of people call Magnum XL 200 simply "Magnum." :)

A very slow say in May I got on MF 8 times. Whenever I would ask my cousin, "What do you want to go on next?" he would say with this little grin on his face "The Big One". So that's kinda what my friends and myself have called it ever since. Not to creative but oh well.

MooreOn has a point, also if you remember, the old height requirement ride sign in front of it always said "Magnum" never "Magnum XL-200"

It just doesn't sound right if you just say "The Millennium" in the context of the name Millennium Force. Millennium is used as an adjective. If someone wanted to ride Iron Dragon, they would never say, "Let's go ride The Iron." If somebody was going to ride Mean Streak or Blue Streak, they wouldn't just say, "Let's go ride Blue/Mean!". It just doesn't make sense that way.

As for Magnum, the XL-200 is just an extention of the name. It keeps the same meaning without the extention.

Millenium Force still works for me, but, how about...

"Blue Fire" or "Blue Balls", for those of you that have them.

I think MF will end up as "The Force", in a few years.

Last year, I was at the Point with a couple of close friends, one of which had this thing for the yellow train. Whenever we'd see the yellow one running, he'd say in this cute little voice "Yellllllow!" So now, I either call MF, "The Force" or "The Big Blue B!tch" (She IS a menacing b!tch to most first-timers) or if I'm in the park, I just say, in an ever so "Chris-tian" (he'll understand) voice, "Let's go ride yellllllow!"

Also, the Gemini because it's so easy to get in line, on the ride, and off... well I won't go there. But it's fun to call Gemini "the Twins."

Actually I think that the computer problem that they had was with it saying the lift hill was 3ft. high rather than 310ft., and yes that did happen one morning last year.

Well, whatever it was, I heard it was a computer glitch of some sort and it happened when I was there on Monday, May 22nd, 2001 ( I Looked it up now). That day I saw Magnums line reach 2 hours long and was even spilling out of the overflow queue's behind the bathrooms.

It the lift hill was 3 feet high wouldn't it drop out of the station? :)
