Cedar Point gets cancelled for inclement weather. It’s a fact with any outdoor activity.

Not true, you can still drink at the bar. 😀🍻

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

Not for many rides actually, but that's a good thing!

All wheels extreme is gone.

That piece of the property that the stadium was taking up is too valuable to waste on a giant stadium.

Case in point, build a house, then build that same house on the edge of Lake Erie.

Which house is worth more.

The land most adjacent to the lake is more valuable.

Time for AWE to move on.

I think you mean to say AWE's old venue is gone. I don't think the show is going anywhere. Cedar Point likes numbers, and it definitely had good numbers.

I'm not so sure about that. The ice skating show seemed to be very popular and look what happened to that show when the venue was removed.

AWE allegedly had the best attendance per showing at the Point. But if they can’t find a place for it, it won’t be back for 2018. Simple as that.

AWE always had better numbers plus the show cost a LOT less to operate. Not to mention that if the show comes back, small version of itself or larger, it won't take much to replace the venue somewhere in the park.

CP has proven time and time again that with a little creativity there is plenty of room. Unless CP is planning something new and different I'm sure there will always be new entertainment venues just as much as there are fresh rides.

Responding to a comment of a recent post on their Facebook page All Wheels Sports said that they are working with Cedar Point to bring an all-new show to the park this summer with the promise to share more info soon. They said the show will have a new name as well as "a new look and elements".

If AWE is indeed gone, either temporarily or for good, I am now a bit disappointed that I never took the time to view it in person live. My son wanted to watch some CP roller coaster video and I found some neat YouTube videos by Coasterbob62. He has some really nice shots & angles. The one we watched had some footage of AWE and it indeed looked awesome. I could never do that on my Schwinn in the 70's.

Yeah I saw it too. I hope they don't change it too much, though. I think back in 2008 they had a few dancers in the show but in my opinion I thought it was bad. I love the extreme stunts of the show that never disappoint, and the energy of it all. I hope they don't dilute that with non-stunts.

If the new All Wheels show for Cedar Point is anything like Nytewalkers and/or Vertical Impact at California's Great America I'd imagine we will see dancers included with the extreme sports performers.

I just hope worst case scenario is that they take a year off from the show in preparations of building a new stadium for All wheels extreme. I guess we'll find out soon what's going where.
