All Wheels Extreme

I have a feeling that it is going to be on the Luminosity stage. It’s a heavily crowded area and people would be more willing to watch if they happen to stumble upon it in the middle of the park rather than having to go to a stadium in the corner of the park.

^ I agree in a way. Luminosity stage is ideal because of the heavy traffic in that area. However, the congestion at 2, 4, and 6 pm (hours of show times. Not to mention actual luminosity at park close) in that area is almost unrealistic in my opinion. It’s such a bottle neck and a pain in the butt to get through.

But All Wheels is the best show they have to offer. It’s a shame the amount of people who miss out on it because of the corner it was tucked away in before.

I really dislike having shows in any walk way and I love shows. It's a nightmare, especially if you aren't trying to see a show at a certain point and you have to walk through other guests trying to find the best route. It's also a nightmare as someone trying to watch a show and you have a big crowd of folks walking right in front of you.

If only there was a Skyride that allowed you to bypass Luminosity.

Depends on where you're going and where you're starting.

Profound...

The Luminosity/Celebration Plaza should be moved to the former stadium site. This would allow luminosity and AWE to share the same space. It also would allow the beach to join in on the party of Luminosity during Cedar Point Nights. The midway that Luminosity is currently on is a bottleneck. It needs to be moved. I don't see how this would be that costly, as the stage is just cement. The lights and infrastructure/technology is where most of the investment was spent, all of which can be moved.

Hmmm... there is merit to this suggestion in terms of relocating luminosity there. I like this.

remember: no matter where you go... there you are.

I wholeheartedly agree about relocating Celebration Plaza to the former stadium site. But having AWE at that venue sort of limits the entertainment options, considering you can only have one show at a time. Though I honestly have no idea if AWE and Celebration Plaza ever had simultaneous shows, so maybe it's a non-issue? But setup and tear-down times for each show may be cumbersome, potentially further limiting the number of shows each day.

^ See, DJ- there are things we agree on :-)

Set up and tear down options could go 3 ways either luminosity could work with what set up awe is using that year or awe utilizes what luminosity is using or they could have like sections on wheels that slide into a storage space behind the half pipes that can be rolled out to fill in the half pipes during luminosity. ( Idk if i visioned that in my head better than it would work in real life or not but i guess anything is possible.)

I don't know; I don't feel too crazy about moving Luminosity to the beach midway. It's a massive stage that would probably block out beach views, despite a more scenic location. I think the number one reason that the Aquatic Stadium was removed was so they could open up the beach more from the midway instead of having a giant stadium blocking the views. Luminosity would, more or less, do the same thing. Plus, they would probably shut down Wicked Twister and WindSeeker early, and missing out on those night rides is always a cruelty.

I don’t know if anyone has seen this video or not. (Summary: Cedar Point removes/relocates Wicket Twister, remove tiki twirl, and add a wooden coaster and theme the area as a boardwalk.) I personally don’t think it will happen. My prediction is a wild mouse in place of the stadium and a GCI for 2020 using the STR station. However, I don’t think this is out of the question. It is very possible. Though, I’d prefer they relocate WT instead of remove it. Also, just in fun speculation of this video, if you recal waaaaaay back before Rougarou to when Tony tweeted his “To-do list” he mentioned RMC, Aquatrax, floorless trains for Mantis, dark ride, a tunnel through Lake Erie, a 500 foot coaster, and..... a boardwalk. Obviously some of those are purely joking and unrealistic. But Rougarou happened, RMC happened, and a boardwalk isn’t ridiculous like the 500 footer or an underwater tunnel. And the boardwalk was the only thing on the list that wasn’t a ride, so in a way it was kind of out of place, which tells me that it is much more realistic to happen in the near future. Just a little fun speculation from my part. Again, my top prediction at this point is a Wild Mouse with a possible boardwalk themed area. I give a GCI in that area about a 25%.

I’ve tried to watch those guys, but, the guy screaming into the mic the whole time drives me to hit the exit button.

The Boardwalk is a long standing rumor/joke, originated by someone here we all know well.

And by the way, it looks like CP is building a new boardwalk anyway, right?

I had no idea that was a long running joke. Boardwalks are a popular theme for amusement parks, though, and I think it would be a hit. It would at least be something new for the park. An entire new themed area.

The day Cedar Point actually themes a new area of the park is the day that we get that 500-foot coaster.

I'm confused, why are people saying the boardwalk is just a rumor when it's being expanded right now?

The actual boardwalk is being expanded, which is outside the park. We’re talking about about a boardwalk themed area on the WT Midway.
