Coasters that you will only ride once on any given trip.

My thinking is that if I only want to ride it once because it's too rough/hurts/just not fun then why ride it once at all. I'd rather spend time riding the ones I like.

I didn't think it was that rough, its exactly what a wooden coaster should be in my opinion.

^That's because you're a youngster. I've been riding that coaster since the 1960's and it's rough on old bones.

GateKeeper, it might just be me, but its gotten really bad. Its slow, boring, and it hurts.

I haven't been on IDVR because the line was like 2 hours.

Rougarou is the only coaster that I will ride once per season. It mangles my brain cells. I feel like a NFL tackle dummy after the ride. So, once per season, tick its check box, eat aspirin.

depends on where you sit on some of these rides. you know how the seats have 3 cars together? like on the magnum? ride in the 1st 2 usually aren't too bad but the back car of the 3 is the worst. after riding coasters pretty much every week you figure that stuff out. so when you ride the magum aim for the first 2 seats of the 3 that are together. same with any of the coasters that 3 seats in the same section. first 2 are less rough.

How exactly does it hurt? It's probably the smoothest ride in the entire park.

I deff wouldn't say its the smoothest, it has a weird "bounce" to it as it goes through the course. Id vote Maverik as one of the smoothest, yes throws you from side to side but it does it smoothly lol

Fair enough. I am 30, but I have noticed rides that didn't bother me even 5 years ago now make me think twice about going on lol. I might just be in denial lol

The G-Force pulls the hard plastic bottom of the restraint into your hips, and its really painful to sit like that, especially in he brake run.

Dragster. The launch is just a bit much for me. It's not the coaster, it's me. I can do once but often skip it altogether especially if I feel a headache coming on already . One of my cardiologists had a hissy when he found out I rode it so we don't discuss my hobbies anymore. I don't normally go for seconds on Corkscrew either mainly because the trains are uncomfortable unless I ride in the front. Now Blue Streak is the opposite for me. I'll marathon that sucker any chance I get. I usually stop riding because the people with me want to stop.

I agree and it's unfortunate that they didn't use vest restraints.

Oh that's right. I rode that on the 4th. I should have known better as there was no line. Now I know, almost ruined my evening....

They couldn't use vest restraints, because trains with those restraints are too wide to fit in Rougarou's station (and possibly would violate clearance elsewhere on the ride).

To use the word "couldn't" indicates that it was an impossibility. What's your source?

It was part of CP's coverage of the conversion. I'm too lazy to look for it, but it was specifically mentioned that they couldn't use the GK-style vests because those vests only fit on wider trains (which is pretty obvious if you look at the restraints), and those trains wouldn't fit in the station.

Shame that the vests can't be used cause IMO Rougarou would be so much better. It would possibly go as far as comparing to Valrayn for me if had the vests.
