Right, so he never made the claim that Florida would be under water by now. That's what I thought.

To be fair, he didn't say it - but the graphic in the video certainly implied as such.

That graphic showed the sea level rise expected if the entirety of Greenland's ice sheet were to melt, which has not happened yet. Hence, "by now" is flatly wrong.

I do believe he had a follow up video in 2009 that said there would be no more polar ice caps within 5 years, so if you tie those 2 together somehow, you can create the perfect argument :)

If funny's what you're going for, I'd stick to gravy buffet jokes, around these parts.

Yes, coaster speculation is a very serious business.

On topic, I'm excited about the new dark haunt. I'm glad they're freshening up the lineup.

In addition to the displays, there are now a handful of Screamsters in the park daily promoting the event and passing out information about Haunt jobs.

Wait, is this really a thing? Last week I saw a guy decked out in a Halloween gothic cult costume (not much makeup from what I recall, but cape, dark clothing, etc.) wandering around the arcade machines in the Coliseum; quite honestly, I just thought that he was a regular park guest (whose idea of the "Best Day Ever" was very different from mine) and went on my merry way, thinking nothing of it. You mean to tell me that that guy was possibly advertising for HalloWeekends? If he was, this is some fascinating guerrilla marketing going on.

HalloWeekend decorations are not what I wanted to see at this point. Honestly my summer has sucked a bit, barely been to the park compared to other years and can't think about going for at least another week due to health issues and once I'm cleared right into an obligation that will stop me from going to the park for almost another week...then fair week and school starts which means work starts...hope everyone else has been having a better season. For me this has been kind of the summer that wasn't. Fall looks like it's going to be complicated too....

I'm not sure Booty. They're primarily in Frontier Town, the Trail, near the two hearse displays, and the front gate.

Stores in NY are already full blown decorated for Halloween, I think its pushing it a little. At least wait till after Labor Day

Naw, they bring out the Christmas stuff after Labor Day.

Why do they bring the Christmas stuff after Labor Day? Because people buy Christmas stuff after Labor Day. Any time I'm in a store and see merchandise for a far off holiday, I don't like it, but I get why they're doing it.

Id laugh but there is more truth to that than I like to believe

And some places don't even wait until then. I literally saw Christmas trees and bulb displays being put out 3 weeks ago (in the middle of July) at an At Home decor store in Elyria, OH. Sorry, but I was disgusted.

Pretty soon, you will see Halloween candy out in the stores. It's psychology to put it out extremely early. A customer buys Halloween candy, then ends up eating it before Halloween, then needs to buy more...

Hell, Disney World is even starting their Mickey's Halloween Parties event in the middle of August this year.

At Home, Michael's, JoAnn, Hobby Lobby. They all have Christmas now, but remember, crafters get started early. Which is why you can walk into those places two weeks before any given holiday and find the stuff half off.
