Anyone have a weird favorite ride?

I ride CP's Tilt a lot, especially on slower days when it's possible to bust out a bunch of flats in addition to the coasters and thrill rides. It's pretty good- not the longest cycle, but it's geared to kids and families.

We spent an evening at Seabreeze a couple seasons ago and we loved it there. It was small, very traditional, clean, well-kept, and the rides were great. The crowd was nice.
That log flume is interesting and I risked getting soaked to ride it. It was originally Over the Falls, a mill chute ride, and was converted to logs a while back, maybe in the 80's. The original lift and steep drop remain the same and it reminded me of the ride at Euclid Beach. I think it would be awesome if they were to someday lose the sawmill theme and convert it back to the original with the tunneled approach restored.
Bobsleds was a gas and I rode it over and over. The carousel there is beautiful.
We went next door to Abbotts afterwards for frozen custard. It was a really nice day.

Kiddy Kingdom carousel for me. As I mentioned in another thread, the animals could use a little resto love and it'd be wonderful if they got the original music works going again, but... It's such a charming carousel with its roaring lions and prancing rabbits and leaping ostriches. A trip to CP is never complete for me without a warm evening ride on my favorite white rabbit.

Sky Ride is mine. Gliding quietly above the park and looking out over everything, especially in the evening when the lights come on, is my favorite park experience. We got stuck on it last summer near Valravn. We got treated to a luminosity fireworks show from the skyride and scored exit lane passes for being stuck, so we ended our night on the front row of Maverick without having to wait. Best Day Ever...

Ah I almost forgot about the Bobsleds! Abbotts is fantastic, that along with Garbage Plates are what we are known for up here in the ROC.

We don't have one at CP, but I really enjoy HUSS Top Spins.I remember riding the one at Darien Lake a dozen times in a row when I was just barely tall enough to ride it. Unfortunately, they are becoming hard to to find as parks are removing them due to the maintenance headaches.

No list of weird rides would be complete without Tilt-a-Whirl. An all-time classic if there ever was one.

Outside of the traditional coasters being favorites, I have to say my favorite flat in the park is Monster.

I had completely forgotten about it as I grew into my teens and early 20s, but when they re-did the Gemini Midway and spruced up Monster, I decided to try it again.

I absolutely love it and try to get on one ride at least once per trip. I love the spins, but it's the dipping like a roller coaster that catches me every single time.

Second favorite is maXair, though it's a bit nostalgic from working there 7 years ago.

I don't find Wicked Twister to be a "weird" ride, so I won't say that one.

Ocean Motion is a good ride in my opinion. Especially after last year half way through the season, the boat swings a lot higher now.

Monster is a fun ride. If you ride by yourself, you can shift your weight from side to side to really get the car spinning while the ride is stationary for loading the other sections. I learned how to do that as a teenager and can get a rythem going where the car is spinning very fast the entire time the ride is loading.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

I have to say I like Lake Erie Eagles even though the capacity stinks. Also, I like Witches Wheel!

Ever been to Knoebels? I feel like you'd love it.

You just brought back memories of Texas Twister, first Top Spin in North America! :D

...painful memories. I distinctly remember the incredibly painful feeling of having my nuts crunched... and at this point I should inform you that I am a girl and don't even HAVE nuts, so I can only imagine what it felt like for a dude.

Pipe Scream always packs a bunch. One of the best rides in the park.

^^ I don't ever remember hearing any such issues like that on top spins, but I do remember it being a problem on Mantis. And I'm a guy and never had those crushed on Mantis, I guess I was riding it wrong (or right). But it made my legs feel weird after riding it. And for the record, I've never been on a top spin. I don't see how you could get hurt there. Is there a bar that goes between your legs?

It's been a while since I've ridden a Top Spin (Darien Lake's Twister has been down for several years) but I think there is a T-bar that comes down on your thighs followed by the OTSR/horse collar. But I could be 100% wrong.

Ugh yes. Those restraints really do crush everything in the middle half of my body. However, they aren't nearly as bad as the Inverter rides I've ridden. Talk about painful.

It depends on the age and manufacturer of the model. The most recent one I rode wast the Crypt at Kings Dominion. That only has a B&M style OTSR. The one at Darien Lake has both lap bars and the OTSR harness.

It looks like Knoebels is getting a small, stand up version of a top spin. I will have to try it out if I find my way over there this summer.
