Ok went to the point again this afternoon and night with my sister her friend and my friend (Brad). Will try to make it short. The afternoon and evening were superb. Taking a newcomer to CP for new rides (that was my sisters friend who had never been on PT, MF, or Raptor). Getting great rides on Magnum, Mantis, Raptor, MF (1st ride).
This newcomer handled it perfectly. We hit Raptor first, Johnny Rockets, (where we got treated very very nicely due to another friend I know who works there...those dances are very interesting). Her hands were sweating before these new rides and afterwords pure excitement. It really reminded me of my first rides, alot of nerves then sheer excitement and wanting too reride again. Basically it was CP at its best a few lines were long but they moved quickly. Crews were hitting intervals pretty darn good, and the rides were delivering pure excitement for our CP newcomer. She enjoyed every second of it making the trip better for me and all involved. Just a awesome time.
So we get in line for MF for our second ride before closing. My friend Brad has a small curious george monkey with him (that he won on a game) I forgot that he had it and the MF op didn't see him have it or refused to stop him if he did see it. We walk through the hourish line get to the station and here I was a little disapointed. Tara our great and kind ride op pulls us to the side and says Brad can't ride with the monkey (hmm that doesn't sound good)...Um anyway, I can understand that we say ok no problem he will just go down the stairs and get rid of it until we get off. I can abide by the rules no toys on the rides, they can't go with you. Now the problem I have is this ride op was just plain Rude... All she said was you have to put it into a locker or you can't ride, and I have to see the key to the locker or you can't ride.....In the end he just did not ride.
Now that is just crap too me, sorry folks but that is a bad experience to me. If only I would have known a MF ride op good enough the outcome would have been different. This would have not happened on Raptor, Mine Ride, Magnum, or Mantis' station as I know those crew members pretty good. And no I purposely don't take things on a ride just because I know the crew members will let me get away with it, or try to break the rules.
Back to MF I knew I didn't have a case and there was no sense for me to get involved as I had nothing to fight her with. I understand that part that you can't take things in the line and honestly forgot brad had that monkey. I don't understand the rudeness (there was plenty of that), and the fact that it had to be in a locker with a key in your hand so I can see it or you can't ride. That is BS. And no we don't need to turn this thread into a lets bash the MF ride ops either. They are not all bad. Just a little aggravating to me, as our treatment was not the nicest. Heck we even had someone getting OFF the train (a little kid who chickened out in the station) offer to hold it for us and her answer was "NO it has to go in a locker". If that was the case she should be checking each person too make sure they have a locker key for items they put in a locker. I am not saying we were totally in the right here, as we were not; however I don't think she was totally in the right either. Well that is my story and I am sticking too it.
-------------
I rode Magnum 5 times and MF once with Robin Innes.
Gemini 100
It's Dan K's fault.
